Dave talks about Shane Black’s “The Nice Guys” and the noir goodness it gives off. The types questions Matt and Dave have asked (and would ask) celebrities. This week on the Matt And Dave Show we start with Cocaine! (don’t do it). We talk about all the issues with #SuicideSquad. How amazing Jenny Nicholson’s Youtube takedown of Suicide Squad was. Matthew Michael Schiel makes a WB vow. Is studio interference killing the comic book genre? The “controversy” over the #Zendaya casting as Mary Jane (hint...it isn't) and then we do a deep dive into the ever sticky subject of race and casting (from our very white-privileged point of view). We would like movies to please stop showing us the back-story to everything...let some stuff be shrouded in mystery. Also: Remakes…please stop. Just stop. How they are remaking Clue and turning it into a “globe trotting adventure” and they just DIDN’T BUY THE RIGHTS TO MAKE A CARMEN SANDIEGO MOVIE!!! (Also, Fun Fact: Dave has NEVER played Clue!) How they are also just remaking the shit out of all of Tim Curry’s old stuff. (Now with more Rocky Horror Picture Show: Live) Then we totally divert into the good and bad of what’s been going on with the live movie musical for a bit. We then start asking ourselves the hard questions in life… do we hate remakes because we have superior taste? Or are we just old?

The Matt & Dave show is back and this week! We talk about the Captain America comic twist. DC’s Rebirth initiative. Lea Thompson in the Howard The Duck comic. This history of Lobo the Duck. J.K. Simmons as “Gym” Gordon in the new Justice League movie and why Matt is worried. The beautiful neutrality of the Lego Dimensions series and some of the new expansion packs announced at E3. How awesome Dave thinks that Red Dead Redemption is and how stoked he is about the possibility of a sequel being announced at E3. How awful the A-Team was to B.A. Baracus. Dave wants blimps to come back AS LONG AS THERE ARE SKY PIRATES! The rough transition from video game material to movies. How studios will soon stop caring what American audiences think because they make more money overseas and as always, this week’s Stream Of The Week: “Small Soldiers” (RIP Phil Hartman).

This week on The Matt And Dave Show we talk about: Recording so early in the day/morning. Dave’s Eric Cartman impersonation failing. Floridians don’t give a shit about hurricanes. TMNT2 tops the box office. What Matt thought about X-Men - Age Of Apocalypse and the 66% drop. Is the drop an active part of movie culture now? The released concept art for Sam Raimi’s 4th unreleased Spider Man Movie. Multiple villains in one movie can kill a franchise. Stephen Amell puts his foot down about an Arrow musical CW crossover. What’s wrong with Arrow’s past two seasons. 30 seconds of Flash spoilers. Dave’s plan for a Color Me Badd tribute band. (Though in retrospect, #CoverMeBadd would’ve been a better name) The Star Wars: Rouge One re-shoots and how it’s probably not a huge deal. What Dave absolutely needs to see in Rouge One.
