The ladies have decided to box up their books and use their newly found knowledge of romance, shifters, and hot tub hygiene to analyze love and why they are the worst at it. Enter Bad At Love Podcast. Join them as they explore and share their often times hilarious, mainly embarrassing, and occasionally poignant discussions about all things love with the Internet. Listen as they attempt to pull back the curtain to reveal that love is not always a fairytale...and that is ok.

The ladies play a Judging A Book By Its Cover game...and it is so much fun that it takes an hour. There will be a special announcement on social media about our podcast for the coming year of 2018! Stay tuned as this is our final episode of 2017!

This week, the ladies get an education in how to get away with murder in N'dia Rae's Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Side Chicks. They learn that brown skin is described as a variety of flavors, when you bite your lower lip a man's dick with jump, winter in Minnesota sucks, and, you shouldn't call a lover "daddy" because it is just plain wrong. Mallory thinks shit is going down in this book Scandal-style. Tamu gets a kick out of how calm the protagonist of this book is about killing her mama and every side woman that crosses her path. This week the ladies name their swords and prepare to slay vampires, zombies and other ghoulies in Genevieve Jack's The Ghost and the Graveyard. They learned that kissing a ghost is okay, but bloodletting sex with an immortal is not. Ghosts are handy in the kitchen and creepy in the bathroom, and to always check to make you have the correct wine for salmon otherwise a foodie ghost will freak you out and continuously switch your bottles. Mallory comes up with another fun sexy equation: Kindred Souls = Cunnilingus + Shiraz. Meanwhile, Tamu just really wouldn't have made it past page 37. In this week's quickie, the ladies discuss People Magazine and its Sexiest Man Alive issue. Basically, they cannot understand how Idris Elba was missed COMPLETELY! They also discuss some other potential sexiest men that could have, if not graced the cover, at least been in the damn issue.

The ladies really try to forget, but remember Lexy Timms's gargoyle romance, The Protector. They learn, absolutely nothing. Both ladies try valiantly to explain this book about a 300-year-old relationship that should have been over at least by year one. Mallory ruins wine for Tamu; meanwhile Tamu does the the same in kind and wrecks whipped cream for her. Wishing you all full bellies and empty wallets this coming holiday weekend! The ladies discuss which of the characters in the books they have read would be cool to hang out with IRL. In the process they make a potentially shocking discovery about Mike Pence.

This week the ladies go up, up, and away in a dirigible full of sweet whispers and broken dreams in Susan Kaye Quinn's, Third Daughter. They learn that sometimes dumb luck is all you need to be a successful spy, that if you are going to risk death climbing walls to meet a "lover" make it worthwhile, and the word lover and someone you make out with are not the same things. Mallory develops "The Princess Rules: 101". The first rule is: "Choose your own bodyguard." Second rule is: "Do not assume a strange woman is the future kings' lover." The ladies discuss which characters in the books they've read would make great Halloween costumes.

This week the ladies run at the speed of sound in Nancy Straight's Centaur romance Blood Debt.  They learn that Mallory's dog, Indigo, has oppositional defiant disorder; dating is a foreign concept for Centaurs; Oceanside, San Diego is 'the hood' and 'shit goes down' there; Centaurs might be a lot racist; and Bianca is a true ride or die chick. Mallory realizes that she has 6 months to find a boo or else she's headed out to pasture pasture with Tamu. Meanwhile, Tamu cannot understand why Calvin Klein's Eternity  makes an appearance as a signature fragrance in 2012. Both ladies lament over the fact that they will never know if Centaurs are well-endowed because NO SEX HAPPENS. While Mallory's rants are amazing, she shockingly discovers she believes in 'because tru love'! A lot transpires in this book and the more they continue to drink wine, the more they try to unravel all of its mysteries. ...Sorry and you're welcome! UP NEXT: Third Daughter, by Susan Kaye Quinn

This week the ladies explore horse training and rope training in R.A. Stephan's The Horse Mistress. They learn that plots and character development can exist in a BDSM gender fluid shifter romance. Tamu turns the tables on shifting!

This week, the ladies turn on their heart lights in Michelle M. Pillow's The Dragon's Queen. They learn that solarflowers are not safe for alien ostrich/horse/cow/reptile animals to eat, that resisting love is futile because the glowing crystal knows, and that cats are apparently dicks no matter what universe they live in. Mallory beautifully describes the love scenes in this book, while Tamu takes us further into the madness of King Joffrey's feline mind. Both ladies figure out which Disney Princess the protagonist, Mede, is most like (HINT: she is Brave). Meanwhile, Mallory discovers one Ms. Debbie Gibson and Tamu discovers how old she truly is.
