 07 | Terry Hoggard // The Synergy of Co-Creation: The Ultimate Partnership | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 34:20

Part 1 of 2 Terry Hoggard is a seasoned Business Consultant, Relief Organization Executive, Life Coach and well … Missionary! Yeah, you heard us right! Terry and his wife, Ruthanne, actually pastored in Rome, Italy and Brussels, Belgium! His years of ridiculous experience has led him to churches all over Europe and Asia where he now consults with international churches and leads active organizational networks.   Turning Inward: Too many times, it seems everyone is for themselves. The tricky truth is that we’re much better, together. Something beautiful surfaces when we co-create. Terry Hoggard takes us deeper into this idea and helps us to better understand that God has never stopped creating. And He is looking to us to co-create with Him in His world. He is also looking for us to co-create with each other. Synergistically. Organically. Free-flowing with the help of the precious Holy Spirit. Its pretty clear that the world we live in has an agenda. It's not making any attempts to unite anyone anytime soon. Unfortunately, there is a great deal of dysfunction leaking into culture but the good news is we don’t have to feed the system. We can change it with some heavenly help! We can take our rightful place and bring some salt and light into some of the most important spheres of our society -- arts and entertainment, media, government, education, business, family, and the Church. Things CAN be better. Are you ready to express Kingdom DNA in a unique way? Will you step into your place?     Links - Terry Hoggard Website: www.terryhoggard.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/terry.hoggard.1   Links - Substance TV Website: https://www.substancetv.org Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/substancetv/ Financial Support: https://www.patreon.com/substancetv

06 | Chris & Bethany Solyntjes // Uncovering Our Best Gifts with Creative Assistance from the Ultimate Creative and the Local Faith-Family | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 45:44

Part 2 of 2 Uncovering our true voice is a constant quest, regardless of a person’s age, trade or educational background. We all long to write, sing, communicate, design and play our best. We all long for our life-voice to surface.   The Convo Continues: Our conversation continues with Chris and Bethany as they discuss that a partnership with God and His local church is a combination that naturally produces our best, most influential work. Our creativity, expressed in whatever respective field, should be shaped and influenced by our faith community in a collaborative process with the Ultimate Creative. The Creator hasn’t stopped creating. He simply is distributing His creative capacity through us, as individuals and in relationship with each other.   Turning Inward: We need to be around believers and share some of our lives with them. We should want and long for each other to win. We should be pushing each other to better ourselves in our creative spaces. All of this works best when it has an organic vibe to it. Led and empowered by the Spirit of God. We can say that it’s “naturally supernatural.” Chris and Bethany say to keep it all open, humble, and vulnerable. Like King David in the Old Testament, we can do great things … as we remain open in raw contact with the Creator.   Links - Chris & Bethany Website: http://www.chrisandbethanymusic.com iTunes: itun.es/us/2K0yjb Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chrisbethmusic/   Links - Substance TV Website: https://www.substancetv.org Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/substancetv/ Financial Support: https://www.patreon.com/substancetv

05 | Chris & Bethany Solyntjes // Uncovering a Humble Approach to Writing Music that is Transparent and Deeply Spiritual | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 41:29

Part 1 of 2 Chris and Bethany are incredibly talented musicians. Their awareness and sensitivity toward real life; marriage, family, and their faith community allow them to write music that is refreshingly transparent and authentic.   Their Story: For years, Bethany wrote music that was filled with a generic feel. Together with her husband, Chris, they now write music that isn’t meant for some poppy radio station. Instead, they write for a different cause. They've discovered that when they write and sing the songs they’ve written for their Lord and faith-community, the music almost takes on a life of its own. You see, there's a difference between saying, "I'm going to write a song, and a song which wants to be written.” The mystery is that the market wants this.   Turning Inward: “Anything beautiful and worth something takes work. There's no room for magical thinking here. It takes discipline. You'll have to fight for it.” “Yes, there's a lot of ugliness around us. We live in a fallen, broken world. But Jesus has come with his beautiful kingdom. And the restoration is underway. There's hope. He makes all things new.”   Chris and Bethany show us that we can face down the brokenness with creativity. A creativity which is inspired, strong, and filled with hope.     Links - Chris & Bethany Website: http://www.chrisandbethanymusic.com iTunes: itun.es/us/2K0yjb Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chrisbethmusic/   Links - Substance TV Website: https://www.substancetv.org Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/substancetv/ Financial Support: https://www.patreon.com/substancetv

 04 | Ken Roberts // A Resurgence in Old-School Disciplines is Spiritually Sexy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 53:52

Part 2 of 2 In this episode we begin to hear how hacking “Old-School” disciplines, with a modern approach, can provide us with a fruitful and butt-kicking, abundant living that Jesus mentioned we could have!   Becoming More: The Master Craftsman is still recreating us. Our hand-in-hand journey with Him and His Son can and will equate to radical personal transformation. This can only happen when we are ok to flow with His process. Ken leads us back into the world of the basics all over again, learning to realign our lives with a healthy process of discipleship where we can actually become a real "apprentice" of our Heavenly Dad. Anytime broken humanity attempts to put their hands on something there will always be some type of dysfunction. Maybe we are designed to approach building things with a different, heart approach. Ken suggests that we need to consider allowing the Father’s heart to shape how we approach building anything. It’s generous. Selfless. It’s a discipleship process which seeks to understand what the Holy Spirit is doing in Christ-followers and communities of faith. And then raising and releasing believers into their design and potential. Only 20% of believers make it to "convergence" ... that place in life where the life-music is loud and clear. Could a return to the classic spiritual disciplines show us the way?     Links - Ken Website: http://kenlroberts.com Book - Unexpected: http://amzn.to/2AjVjsl Book - Staying Power: http://kenlroberts.com/?page_id=622   Links - Substance TV Website: https://www.substancetv.org Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/substancetv/ Financial Support: https://www.patreon.com/substancetv

03 | Ken Roberts // Finding True North and Living With Accuracy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:14

Part 1 of 2 What’s your True North? If you navigate life in alignment with your True North, you will find that you will have greater accuracy in accomplishing the things that you've set out to do and in living out your calling and purpose.   Ken's Story: Ken Roberts hit the wall in his career. The energy was gone. Even more, he lost his wife of 25 years in a tragic accident. Hear the life story of how he rebounded and is now consulting with individuals and organizations to discover their True North … living into their highest potential. As Ken says, "Our past is the raw material for the life we're really called to live--our redeemed life." Ken pastored for 33 years in Cleveland and Minneapolis. He found fresh energy after "drying up" in his career. Timeless spiritual practices turned the key and opened new horizons ... he's referring to things like scripture, silence, solitude, prayer, and journaling. He experienced renewal in Christ and it opened the door to the most effective and fruitful season yet. Ken's message is not just for church leaders. It's for influencers in business, education, arts and entertainment. Really, every sphere of work. It's even for parenting!   Turning Inward: If we want to truly live in a sustainable way, we need to take care of our interior life. If not, we'll live from a place of our "false self" and we could very well be setting ourselves up for some bad decisions and failure.   We feel this conversation is brimming with wisdom and motivation. Engage these ideas and see what you think. And let's remember to take care of our hearts! Because everything flows from that place.     Links - Ken Website: http://kenlroberts.com Book - Unexpected: http://amzn.to/2AjVjsl Book - Staying Power: http://kenlroberts.com/?page_id=622   Links - Substance TV Website: https://www.substancetv.org Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/substancetv/ Financial Support: https://www.patreon.com/substancetv

 02 | Rana Cavanaugh // Waiting at a Green Light | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 46:08

Part 2 of 2 Is God a dreamer? Does He distribute pieces of His dreams to us? Could the Creator be dreaming through us?   Rana - A Brief Background: Rana Cavanaugh works in the film industry, on movies and commercials. She’s also a wife, mother, blogger, and author. Be sure to check out part one to learn more about her.   Dreaming: In this episode we explore dreaming. Growing our internal space to experience greater things, inviting the potential of Christ into our creativity, and more!  Even if you don’t think of yourself as a "creative” ... you need to know that you are. God has put creativity inside of you. We are all created in the image of God. And God is the greatest of all creatives! Each of us expresses creativity in different ways through our lifestyle, work, and hobbies.  Who we are on the inside directly impacts what we do externally. Every challenge we face is an opportunity to grow in our character and integrity. As we become bigger on the inside we will find that we can carry and sustain greater things on the outside. So we must become intentional about our internal growth in order to experience our best life! Know that the light is green! So many of us journey as if the light is yellow or red. It's green! Especially with Jesus. He says, "Go and do the things I've put in you! Partner with me." Start now, invite the potential of Christ into your action steps. Not tomorrow. Not somewhere else. Right here, right now! Don’t overthink it. Stop overpreparing. Don’t overeducate yourself. Start. Make some mistakes. Learn. Keep iterating all along the way. There's so much in this conversation with Rana. Listen in and see yourself with fresh eyes.   Links - Rana Blog: http://www.chictravelingmama.net Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chictravelingmama/ ebook: http://amzn.to/2lRYeFk   Links - Substance TV Website: https://www.substancetv.org Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/substancetv/ Financial Support: https://www.patreon.com/substancetv

 01 | Rana Cavanaugh // Stepping Out | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 37:05

Part 1 of 2 Each of us has a story to tell, a destiny to live out, and it’s a matter of the heart. Will we take the risk and pursue our best life? Yes, we may be scared to death. But if we’re brave, go after it, and do “that thing” -- then all bets are off!   Rana's Story:  Rana Cavanaugh was raised in an Italian family. Catholicism was a distant influence. Her aunts and family were more into the metaphysical scene … energy, vibes, manifesting. Her journey eventually led to painful anxiety attacks. Was she somehow responsible for the not-so-good things that were happening? Did she have to live with bad karma? The weight of feeling alone and responsible for life events became too much to carry. Exhaustion became a way of life. She now understands that Jesus takes our load and offers peace. He empowers our humanity. He empowers women. He is her Redeemer and Restorer. Today, Rana is living in a love story with her elementary school sweetheart. Their marriage is real. And now they share their life together with their two beautiful kids and they seek to serve Jesus in their careers. She works on movies (including Captain America II and Iron Man III), as well as commercials, and has written a novel. Rana believes in being brave and being honest about your goals. She also carries a vision of helping today’s women and she’s already doing it.   Your Journey: Will you step out and do “that thing” that’s in your heart? Even if you’re scared, will you step out on what you know to be true for you? Talk to Father God and listen. You may discover that you’re actually stepping out on what he wants for you … your best life.   Links - Rana Blog: http://www.chictravelingmama.net Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chictravelingmama/ ebook: http://amzn.to/2lRYeFk   Links - Substance TV Website: https://www.substancetv.org Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/substancetv/ Financial Support: https://www.patreon.com/substancetv
