Christ is the Cure
Summary: A podcast bringing you theology, apologetics, and a resource for growth on the basis of scripture alone. This podcast is dedicated to bringing back interest in Christian theology, and the application of said theology. I hope this show will be a resource for Christians in terms of discipleship, growth, apologetics, and general theology. All episodes are grounded in the biblical worldview in accordance with the principle of sola scriptura. I hope that this proves to be fully grounded in scripture, and that it may be a blessing to you in your christian walk. Leave your thoughts, questions, or you can even leave topic ideas for future shows.

In todays episode we discuss suffering and temptation. A lot of scripture today as we go through portions of James, 1 Peter, Hebrews, 1 Corinthians, and more. We discuss the purpose of suffering, and the hope we have within that. In this the notion that sin as causing suffering is all our doing in the midst of not grasping biblical truth. I hope this episode blesses you and helps you in some way. In this week's episode (which is early) we discuss many things! At 0:25-2:46 I discuss the fulfillment of Instagram and Twitter's purpose and announce that I will be shutting them both down. More reasons are specified here, but ultimately the goal to use those platforms to get the podcast running independently have been completed. From 2:47-9:24 I discuss legalism versus obedience and the two camps that error on extremes. Additionally I discuss spiritual disciplines and how they are not legalistic when looking at legalism and obedience properly. From 9:25-14:08 I discuss the Gospel in John and it's differences with the synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke). Lastly 14:09 - end; I discuss John 3:16 and how it is abused in some ways when it really shouldn't be at all. For the book of the week I encourage everyone to practice and learn hermeneutics and challenge believers to spend less time with theologians, and books about the bible, and more time with the biblical text itself. Today's episode is a bit different as I go through a piece that I wrote awhile back. The main ideas featured today consist of the notion that the simplicity of the gospel makes the Gospel difficult for some in our (American) culture. In this I touch on how easy it is to forget basic truths and that we need to remember that preaching these basics, the gospel, to ourselves is important. Furthermore I discuss my personal struggles coming from Atheism to knowing Christ, but mostly, this post is about growing in faith. Sometimes we want everything to change over night, but sometimes surrender comes in pieces as we trust God and move forward. While it is not mentioned in this episode, I hope this acts as an encouragement to build up the younger believers who are trying to figure out what all this about. Discipleship is important and every disciple should be prepared to make disciples. I hope you enjoy today's episode! In today's oddly short episode we look at what Paul says regarding marriage. Before we go into that I make a brief comment regarding the New Testament manuscripts which was prompted by an email sent to me regarding episode 28. On the topic of Paul and Marriage, we briefly cover 1 Corinthians 7:25-35 and Ephesians 5:22-33. We see how the context of 1 Corinthians shapes the message of marriage, the roles of husbands and wives, and the truth that there is too much emphasis put on the "necessity of a spouse". We close with brief updates and I look forward to next week! Email me any suggestions, questions, comments or concerns!
