This week we are drinking and talking all things Cleveland when we dive into the great beers from Great Lakes Brewing Company. We were joined in studio by the wonderful Billy from Backyard Ale House and the always enjoyable and Cleveland super fan Rocky Rhodes! This week we discuss cheese and beer pairings with author Janet Fletcher who literally wrote the book on the subject. Her book, Cheese & Beer, gives great recommendations of beer and cheese pairings and we discuss some of these pairings with her. In studio we had 5 beers and 5 cheese paired with them all based on her suggestions. Lots of great topics covered this week! This week we drink some fine aged beers and discuss the process of properly aging beer with the man who literally wrote the book on the topic, Patrick Dawson author of the fantastic book Vintage Beer. This week in honor of Mead Day we are drinking and discussing some great commercial examples of mead as well as a few homebrewed versions and exam meads with local homebrew club Scranton Brewers Guild, lots of great information! The meads featured are from Moonlight Meadery, B. Nektar Meadery, and Chaucer's Meadery along with several homebrewed meads.

This week we discuss the wonderful New Holland Brewing Company with co-owner Fred Bueltman, we also sample and discuss some of their craft spirits including a hop whiskey and beer barrel aged bourbon! This week we take a look at 5 fantastic examples of the Saison style, discuss a bit of the history of the style, pair with some fantastic food, have a small "argument" live on air, and of course drink some great beers! This week we sit down with local brewery Breaker Brewing Company to sample some of their newest and best beers yet! Thie week's beer lineup from BBC: Mine Fire Blackberry Jalapeno Ale, Sour Tomato Ale, Quiet Canary Coconut Saison, Black Diamond Dark IPA. We also shared a bottle of the fantastic Foot Print Ale from Odell Brewing Company!

This week we examined 4 different American IPA's by doing a blind tasting. Everyone brought their favorite American IPA and we picked our favorites after trying them all to see if our favorites were still truly our favorites and we ended the show by sampling Stone Brewing Co.'s wonderful RuinTen! The beer lineup/contestants this week is: Sierra Nevada- Torpedo, Ithaca- Flower Power, Green Flash- West Coast IPA, and Odell Brewing Company- Odell IPA.
