Mistakes Make Magic

Nicolaus Simon is a certified public accountant! He is known for his tax audit and accounting services. Currently he is employed with Darnell Sikes and Frederick where he works with clients to help them better their financial situation. I am beyond thrilled to chat with him today about all things accounting because let's be honest, doing your craft is such a small percentage of running a business.

Shanna Skidmore is a business strategist and financial coach for creative entrepreneurs. Nicknamed “The Dream Releaser” by her clients, she helps others make money by doing what they love. With backgrounds in finance, psychology, and art, she was able to marry those things together, rolling business and creativity all into one. Her greatest joy is watching others transform their stories, building businesses, and help others live the life they love.

Callie Richardson is the co-owner of the White Magnolia and now their newest location Magnolia Manor. She is married to her best friend, Charlie Richardson. She loves to ride horses, farm life and ALL things vintage!

Katie Lamb is a professional photographer and lifestyle blogger based in Kansas City and Dallas, Texas. After receiving her Bachelors of Fine Art Photography degree from Baylor University, her passion for photography and the international orphan crisis led her to work in China, Africa, and Europe documenting the efforts of various mission groups and orphan outreach programs before starting her own photography business in 2008.

Teissia Treynet is the owner of a luxury wedding and event planning and design company. They take care of all the logistics and work with clients to design events that are beautiful, innovative, and highly personal! Their offices are located in New York, California, and Wyoming and are available for travel worldwide! 

Davey Jones is a brand and content strategist. He is one half of the Davey and Krista team. He is the cofounder of the Rising Tide Society, wedding photographer, and former English teacher. His podcast "Brands That Book" is helping others with custom branding, website design, and search engine optimization. 

It’s absolutely crazy to think that we have made it through 50 episodes of Mistakes Make Magic. Since, we began the podcast concept, recordings, interviews and vision has grown and evolved! It has challenged me in ways that I didn’t expect, become a tool for helping others, and even served as a means for personal growth. I couldn’t be more thankful for the guests that have taken time out of their busy lives to share with all of us their knowledge, experience and lessons...and I am thankful for you!

Shay and Graham have been entrepreneurs and creative business owners for the better part of their 12 years of marriage.  Shay spent 8 years as a wedding and portrait photographer before transitioning into commercial product styling and photography in 2012.Graham is an audio engineer turned unlikely entrepreneur and YouTuber who over the past 8 years has built one of the largest audio education websites in the industry, The Recording Revolution.

Elyse Jennings is a wedding planner and designer who’s been recognized by Southern Living as one of the South’s best wedding planners, by Martha Stewart Weddings as one of the top 64 wedding planners in the nation, and her designs have been recognized in countless magazines and blogs like Brides, The Knot, Style Me Pretty, Once Wed, and many more!

Jana Williams is an international wedding photographer based in LA CA .  Originally from Alabama she has never lost her down home roots. Jana has a youtube channel with over 127k subscribers where she gives weekly photo tips. An active blog www.janafromalabama.com where you can find resources for photographers like Lightroom presets + online courses. Her latest venture is The Inspired Club ( All female photographer + Entrepenur membership site.)

Sara Yamtich is an ads strategist with soul and purpose! With a degree in Anthropology, she has an unwavering entrepreneurial spirit and now uses her own business to helping others market theirs! She previously worked as an ads manager for a rapidly growing 6-figure digital marketing agency. Since, she has started her own mission-aligned agency, Resonate with Sara, where she works to amplify the impact of people doing good work in the world with Facebook and Instagram ads.

Chanti Zak loves yoga and chai tea but is known for her funnel strategies and quiz and copywriting skills. She is a successful entrepreneur, mother, and Canadian that has been featured in Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Cosmopolitan and more. After moving from blogging, she is now leading clients into high value conversions for their online marketing. 

So I’m going to talk about some of the mistakes that I’ve made and some of the things that I’ve learned about being the breadwinner in our relationship. I want to thank Brad for allowing me to put together this podcast episode. We talked through this episode before launching and I appreciate that he has allowed me to share this information so that I can help other people. I feel like this content is super important and needs to be shared.
