American producer/DJ Butane is no stranger to the underground dance music scene. He boasts an impressive discography released on some of the most highly regarded labels in the business, from Crosstown Rebels to Get Physical to Dubfire’s Sci+Tec. As a label owner, he’s the founder of three influential underground dance music imprints of his own: Alphahouse, Little Helpers, and his new Extrasketch project. His recent rework of Uone’s ‘Karnival Dreams’, showcased his engineering skills with a remix that was dancefloor-friendly and cerebral at the same time. Ahead of his Australian return to perform at the upcoming Chi Wow Wah Town Festival, the time felt right to get the scene veteran to host a Balance Selections mix. @butane For more info: www.balancemusic.com.au
Joe Miller is an English-born beatmonger, influenced in equal measure by heaving clubs, and the earthy melancholy of forests. He grew up in Australia, where he learned to craft sets that are whimsical and left-field, evoking a sense of place. In 2013 he delivered us one of the most exquisite mixes you will ever find, a beautiful pastiche of tracks new and old expertly weaved together. Since then Joe has released music on labels ranging from All Day I Dream (alongside Jamie Stevens) to Manual Music and much more. Make sure to watch out for his upcoming release on our own Dawn Till Dusk imprint. As expected, Joe’s mix is an adventurous 44 track narrative that will keep you hooked from start to finish. @Joe-miller For more info: www.balancemusic.com.au
Earlier this year Stereo Underground released his debut album ‘The Art of Silence’, through Balance Music. It was an 11-track journey exploring ambient, progressive, and deep techno. The album received wide-spread media attention, with the highly regarded Progressive Sounds calling it ‘aural meditation’. He even broke new ground with his custom-built ‘Space Controller’, a unique MIDI device designed to control every aspect of his live performance. All of this has really highlighted just why Stereo Underground is so highly revered in his home country, and the passionate creative also dedicates his time to teaching music production through his popular BPM College. With his years of experience, this DJ/Producer has crafted a special mix, which will stand the test of time. @stereoundergroundmusic For more info: www.balancemusic.com.au
The Berlin based Iranian DJ, producer, mix engineer, and ‘Ubersee Music’ label figurehead, Namito, has released a mesmerising autobiographical electronica album 'Leaving Everything Behind' on Balance Music, and just like his previous album release 'Letting Go', every track tells a story about his life growing up in Iran - from his earliest memories, to revolution, war, and right through to the day he left his homeland, alone, and never looking back. @namito For more info: www.balancemusic.com.au

Luka Sambe’s musical universe is a diverse palette filled with innovative creations, and for those in-the-know, he is an artist many are keeping tabs on. With recent releases on labels like Lost & Found, and Traum-Schallplatten, this EP for Balance Music is another winner for the Australian producer, complete with a remix from another man of the moment, Eli Nissan. This EP is filled with the sort of gems that should get repeated plays from artists like Guy J, Sasha, and beyond. For more info: www.balancemusic.com.au
