We've moved to Tuesday for our new Triple Stack Tuesday! With beautiful sounding shows from Bing, Jimmy Durante with Bob Hope as his guest host, and Al Jolson! With guests this week Walter O'Keefe, Brace Beemer (The Lone Ranger), and William Powell! They are all from 70 years ago this week.
Join Judy Garland and us for a Mindi Movie Monday! Hot of the presses, Mindi just recorded this intro! I just noticed that it was the 75th Anniversary of this wonderful Lux presentation of A star is Born starring Judy Garland and Walter Pidgeon, so I asked Mindi to if she could make an intro and she did, do here you are! An absolute classic on or near it's 75th Anniversary!
Now for something really different, Mindi brings us an interesting bit of history tonight. We are changing nights for Judy and Bing for a lot of reasons, besides starting our week with Judy just seems right!
70 years ago Suspense lost it's sponsor, so did CBS do? Dis they cancel it? No they doubled the length to an hour!
We continue our early Judy Garland chronology every Friday now, and we start it with my favorite intro and show that Mindi has ever done! The show itself has spectacular sound, probably the best you will ever hear it, so enjoy the whole thing! Thanks Mindi, you really knocked it out of the park on this one!
Fun with Bing, Rosemary Clooney, and Gordon MacRae!
Back to our normal programming with the Shadow by Orson Welles!
