 Agüero’s goal-glut, Everton’s glass ceiling, and reassessing Arsenal's Köln-onic irritation | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3972

On today’s Totally Football Show, AC Jimbo is joined by Rafa Honigstein, Sasha Goryunov and Simon Hughes to analyse a weekend in which both Manchester sides laid down significant markers in their bid to bring the Premier League trophy back to the North West. Ten goals they scored between them, conceding none. The six London clubs, in contrast, didn’t rustle the net once. The question is, who would you rather watch: City or United? Also on today’s agenda: geopolitics, more ufology, and ‘Arry binned by Birmingham.  City off to a flyer in Feyenoord but Liverpool’s defensive problems become even more Sevilla | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3887

On your all new Totally Football Show, AC Jimbo welcomes James Horncastle, Julien Laurens and Michael Cox to reflect on a goal-tastic opening round of games in the Champions League. City and Spurs recorded impressive results away to Feyenoord and home to Dortmund, but Liverpool’s familiar flaws at the back were all too apparent as they drew 2-2 at home to Sevilla. PSG meanwhile looked all-too-menacing as they crushed Celtic 5-0 in Glasgow. After our comprehensive Euro review, we turn our attention to the Premier League. This weekend sees Arsenal head to Chelsea, Man United take on Everton, and there’s also a rousing return to action for Mr Roy as his makes his bow as Crystal Palace’s latest saviour with the Eagles at home to Southampton. All of this, plus back-shaving, ufology and exciting news for the gloomy folks of the West Midlands.  Jaw-dropping performances by Mane and Sane as Frank De Boer is shown the door | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3932

On today’s super soaraway Totally Football Show, AC Jimbo is joined by Kelly Cates, Iain Macintosh and Rafa Honigstein to assess a weekend of goals, controversial red cards and, ultimately, panic as Crystal Palace dispensed with the services of Frank De Boer after all of 77 days. We kick off of course by discussing Man City’s 5-0 thrashing of Liverpool, while elsewhere in our Premier League review there’s praise for Stoke, Brighton and even - shock horror - Arsenal. It’s a Champions League week so we catch up with Filippo Maria Ricci about the respective travails of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Sevilla, and we also look ahead to PSG’s trip to Celtic Park. Finally, we catch up with all the action in the EFL, with a focus in particular on Leeds. And if you like that sort of thing, you’ll be thrilled to know that you can now subscribe to our new Totally Football League Show, which kicks off next week.  Sanchez in tears, Leicester in limbo, and Bilic and De Boer in the last chance saloon | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3890

On your brand new Totally Football Show, AC Jimbo, Michael Cox, James Horncastle and David Preece give a Dele Alli-like middle finger to the international break and give a proper fist bump to the Premier League. Liverpool head to Man City in the biggest clash of the weekend while there’s a six-pointer at the bottom as Arsenal host Bournemouth. Frank De Boer and Slaven Bilic though could find themselves in a real pickle if the can’t results against Burnley and Huddersfield. Amongst our other talking points: what life is really like for a third-choice keeper, Chile running out of steam and footballing spoonerisms.  Ho-hum for England, hope for Scotland and humiliation for Italy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3783

On today’s Totally Football Show, AC Jimbo welcomes to the fold newcomers Seamas O’Reilly from the Irish Times and Watford’s former sporting director Luke Dowling, and they take their spots alongside pod stalwarts Rafa Honigstein and Iain Macintosh as the gang look back on a truly mixed bag of international games. Yes, England stunk out the joint once again - as did Ireland, to be fair -  but Scotland did the business against Lithuania. It’s that sort of hope that kills, says our man Jim Burke in our first dispatch of the season from beyond the border.  Still, spare a thought for Filippo Maria Ricci who was in Madrid to witness Italy’s shellacking by Spain.  Ouch. Finally - because we have in Luke a chap who knows a thing or two about football recruitment - we look back on the folly in the final hours of transfer window. Yes, we’re talking about you West Ham, Chelsea and, of course, Arsenal. Oh, Arsenal… PARISH NOTICES: • send us a tweet: @thetotallyshow • rate and review us on iTunes: http://apple.co/2w51wJd • check out our new website - now with your comments: http://www.thetotallyfootballshow.com • get your shave on with our friends Cornerstone, who are giving you £10 off your first order: https://www.cornerstone.co.uk/totally • Jimbo and Producer Ben are both doing events at the Dublin Podcast Festival at the end of September: http://bit.ly/2wqHfvC

The (transfer) window of discontent and your essential Champions League almanac | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3415

On this edition of the Totally Football Show, AC Jimbo is joined by Rafa Honigstein, James Horncastle and Andy Brassell to give their two penn’orth on Sanches to Swansea, the Ox to Liverpool and the rest of transfer window deals that had been completed on deadline day. We’ll of course catch up on Monday’s show with the big moves that happened after we pressed stop . Plus, we look ahead to the international break, which isn’t nearly as tedious as it sounds, and then we’re joined by a virtual Julien Laurens and our old pal Sasha Goryunov to have a proper butchers at this year’s Champions League competition. Of course, there’s no Premier league or Championship football this Saturday due to the aforementioned international break, so perhaps most important match of the weekend is the game kicking off at 3pm at QPR’s Loftus Road: the #Game4Grenfell. Show your support and find out more at http://www.game4grenfell.com.  Xhaka Can’t as Arsenal are annihilated at Anfield and Mbappe to PSG | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3877

On today’s Totally Football Show, AC Jimbo is joined by Michael Cox, Julien Laurens, Leroy Rosenior and Iain Macintosh. These people should have better things to do on a bank holiday than talk football for an hour at Jazz FM, our unlikely new home, but hey - their loss is your gain. Probably. Speaking of jazz, we begin by riffing on Arsenal’s misery after they were spanked 4-0 by a mighty impressive Liverpool. How bad is it going to get for Arsenal? West Ham bad, or just Crystal Palace bad? Also up for discussion: Kylian Mbappé’s extraordinary loan move to PSG; Spurs sending for Serge Aurier; and ‘murder’ in Ipswich PARISH NOTICES: • send us a tweet: @thetotallyshow • rate and review us on iTunes: http://apple.co/2w51wJd • check out our website - now with added comments: www.thetotallyfootballshow.com • get your shave on with our friends Cornerstone, who are giving you £10 off your first order:  https://www.cornerstone.co.uk/totally • Get your tickets for Producer Ben’s masterclass at the Dublin Podcast Festival in September: http://bit.ly/2vX0FYt

Harry Maguire’s formidable frame, Benitez v Bilic, and the Ederson shuffle | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4258

On your brand new Totally Football Show, AC Jimbo is joined by James Horncastle, Adam Hurrey, and Mark Schwartzer. Only one of those four won back-to-back Premier League winners medals - not that he likes to talk about it. The gang look ahead to the weekend in the Premier League, not least Arsenal’s trip to Anfield and a no doubt far more miserable affair at St James Park when Newcastle host West Ham. Other points of interest include Mark advising us to look out for Ederson’s shuffle in Man City’s game with Bournemouth; Adam finding solace in Wayne Rooney’s retirement in the the formidable frame of Leicester’s Harry Maguire; and James H giving us all the latest haps from Serie A.  Man United looking menacing, ill-advised celebrations, and West Brom’s axis of evil | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3202

On the latest Totally Football Show, AC Jimbo is joined by Kelly Cates, Iain Macintosh and Philippe Auclair to look back on a splendid weekend in - or is it on? - Planet Football. Philippe reports on his afternoon at Wembley where he saw Chelsea bounce back and give Tottenham an unhappy house warming. Iain meanwhile was at the John Smith’s Stadium to see Huddersfield continue their superb start to life back in the top flight, but Kelly’s already had enough of Arsenal living down to expectations after their defeat at Stoke. Elsewhere, we celebrate Neymar’s magnificent home debut for PSG, shed a tear for poor Hamburg’s Nicolai Muller after his did his cruciate celebrating a goal, and wonder what life is really like at West From with Tony Pulis and Gary Megson barking orders.  Goalkeeping gripes, defensive walls, and Spurs look to end their Wembley wobbles | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4040

On today’s Totally Football Show, AC Jimbo is joined by James Horncastle, Michael Cox and (deep breath) former-Darlington-and-Aberdeen-goalie-turned-pundit, David Preece. David’s on hand to give his view about the state of goalkeeping in the Premier League, and he also shares some radical - though not quite Trumpian - theories about walls and defending freekicks. Elsewhere, we preview all the big games in the Premier League this coming weekend, not least crisis-ridden Chelsea and their trip to Tottenham. Will Spurs get off to a winning start at their new Wembley home? Finally, we’ve got an in-depth lookahead to the big Serie A kick-off. Milan have been busy shopping, Napoli look excellent - so are Juventus about to dethroned?  A New Hope | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4247

Finally, in a world starved of topical football podcasts, The Totally Football Show has arrived. Pod legend James Richardson crosses the Rubicon with Kelly Cates, James Horncastle, Julien Laurens, and Yoko Macintosh to preview the new Premier League season, pausing only to chat Ligue 1, Serie A and the Championship. The pod quad discuss the fallout from the Community Shield, and Julien salivates at the prospect of Neymar at PSG. Hear how far they were willing to go to secure the Brazilian. Plus, there are predictions aplenty in our innovative new format, Hostage To Fortune, and there’s a fascinating metaphor based entirely on AC Jimbo's old hair.
