Sarah speaks with author KM Fortune about her Forever Winter Chronicles, a post-apocalyptic, dystopian serial novel.  The serial tells the story of Raven Winter, a woman who is frozen in an avalanche and awakens 127 years later to find the world vastly changed.  There has been a plague, nuclear war, and nothing is as it used to be.  She must learn to survive in this world she knows nothing about while also avoiding being recaptured by the same people who dug her out of the ice in the first place and now are hunting her.  The 8th installment will be published on December 27th, and there will be 12 installments in all. Sarah interviews Mary Ann Marlowe, author of A Crazy Kind of Love, which is the 2nd book in the Flirting with Fame Series.  Sarah and Mary Ann spoke about the first book Some Kind of Magic in Episode 27.  A Crazy Kind of Love returns to the world of Some Kind of Magic, this time focusing on Eden's brother Micah and his relationship with a tabloid photographer named Jo.  As the 2 find themselves attracted to one another they also find themselves wondering if the other is using them to advance his or her own career.  They have to  navigate this confusion to find out if their relationship is real. Sarah interviews Matty Dalrymple, author of the Ann Kinnear series and the Lizzy Ballard Series.  Ann Kinnear is a person who can sense spirits.  She is a bit conflicted about her gift, but she does use it as both a source of income and to help others.  In The Sense of Death Ann gets involved with Detective Joe Booth when he asks her to help him solve the disappearance of a Philadelphia woman.  Joe suspects her husband had something to do with the disappearance but can’t prove it without Ann’s help.  The first book in the Lizzy Ballard series is Rock Paper Scissors.  Lizzy also has abilities that are supernatural in nature, but she is a much different character than Ann, and her story takes her in a very different direction. Sarah interviews Jeanne M Dickson, author of Grounded Hearts.  This debut novel tells the story of a neutral Ireland during World War II.  Nan, an Irish midwife, finds wounded Canadian RAF pilot Dutch Whitney on her doorstep.  All combatants, regardless of which side they were on, were supposed to be turned in to be interned for the duration of the war.  Nan risks everything to hide him while he recovers from his injuries, and as they get to know each other Dutch is able to heal her as well.
