The Simplifier Zero Watt from the Chilean brand DSM & Humboldt (simplifieramp.com) is a fully analog guitar preamp that offers the three standard tube amp types. So we find the Fender Blackface sound, the VOX AC30 sound and finally the Marshall Plexi sound. The unit has a very small footprint since it is just the size of a standard Boss pedal. Equipped with a multitude of settings and a very complete connection system, including a stereo effect loop, this preamplifier is a real winner. The French startup Reveho (reveho.com) launches a Kickstarter campaign to finance the production and sale of the Slite, their model of collapsible travel guitar. The young team came to our showroom in April 2019 to present me with a prototype that was already promising. As of the recording date of this interview with CEO Alexandre Albisser, the campaign is already 60% successful with 25 days to go, so the project seems to be well underway. In April 2019, The Guitar Channel went to Germany to cover the Musikmesse and visit Guitar Point, this fabulous Vintage guitar store in the suburbs of Frankfurt. It was the day of the "Sunburst Convention" which brought together no less than 14 Les Paul Sunburst's from the mythical years 1958, 1959 and 1960.
