Gabriel Zapata’s childhood in San Bernardino was heavily influenced by television, cult films, the arts, and pop-culture. After leaving college, he began performing drag as Jean Decay. With her drag performances, Jean Decay addresses important topics like race, sexuality, and other sociopolitical issues, but she is also a celebration and tribute to the women that have protected and influenced Gabriel throughout his life.
Chandler Juliet is a recording artist and singer-songwriter from Los Angeles. The daughter of renowned jazz trombonist Bob McChesney and jazz singer/violinist Calabria Foti, Chandler has been around music all her life. By age 9, she was writing her own original songs on her mother's old guitar. In this episode, she shares how she was motivated to achieve her goals, and some of the lessons she learned along the way.
