Summary: Dogs are simply amazing. They have become part of our family and an integral part of our society--sometimes in horrifying ways. Many people turn their heads to look away at the bad, but dog rescuers do not. My rescue world is filled with amazing people that I am proud to know. It is also filled with a ton of drama. Time to Raise the Woof and tell the stories that are long overdue.

Sinbad the Cat is famous because of his amazing transformation. How he was found and how he is doing now is such a great story. Chicago Animal Care and Control is one of the most important city-run organizations. Yet, a few weeks ago, without warning they fired what many thought was the best Director in decades. A shit storm ensued and we are trying to sort everything out to be sure people understand WHAT is going on and HOW they can help. Oh, and would Heather ever apply for the Director job? The answer made me giggle.
