CIA Agent Samara Javadi took off after the General Manager of the Funco Promenade who had just tossed a pie in her face. She had goaded her into tossing the pie to confirm that she was it fact a clown. Taking down clowns was her job at the FBI. And she hoped this pastry-tosser would lead her to Dr. Gigglepuss.

Agent Samara Javadi had been assigned to the clown division of the Bureau for five months. Since clowning was made illegal by the Defense Against Clowns Act, the funnymen were a constant target. Some clowning groups went underground. Some of the more artsy types crossed into Canada and set up ex-pat tumbling clubs...

I awoke in a small office. A small woman with dark green hair and large owl-like glasses blinked at me. She then nudged me with a stick. “You’re alive. Good.”
