I made a gingerbread house for work with very little gingerbread, the only ginger is the cookies I used to frame the wreaths. We start the season an old classic with a twist. I made Maw's bread with milk instead of water, taking the milk bread twist to this great recipe. Zen - Grogu and Dust Bunnies is a 3 minute short that was hand drawn by Studio Ghibli for Disney, featuring everyone's favorite baby yoda. This is a first for Intro to Ghibli where everyone watched this for the first time. We talk a bit about the negative response by some so called star wars fans who didn't get the artistic endeavor they were watching. Make no mistake, this short is an art piece, and it is a great mashup of Disney and Ghibli, 10/10 all around. As a fan of teen drama shows Do Revenge had my interest piqued. It's Strangers on a Train meets Clueless. Netflix has a way of churning out new properties with their hit stars and this one I thing nails it. It's fun, it's good, and it's not a series, which means no one will be crushed when it is canceled. It's a self contained story that will give you some satisfaction and not leave you halfway through a cliffhanger. I grew up listening to metal, I love metal, and will forever be a metal head. The Netflix movie Metal Lords reads like a love letter to the genre. I loved the 90s movie A League of Their Own, when I heard Amazon was making it into a show, I was cautious. Turns out I love this show even more. This show knocks it out of the park for telling a good story, with authentic experiences, and saying the quiet part out loud. Not letting subtext reign supreme but making everything we needed to be quiet about in the 90s front and center today. Enjoyable actors make you binge hard and care about each of the characters.
