The Real Miyagi & Pizza - Spoiler Free! The Real Miyagi is a documentary on Netflix about Sensei Fumio Demura, the man who influenced the role Pat Morita is best known in The Karate Kid. Unlike many other documentaries about martial arts teachers this one is fascinating, endearing, and entertaining. You will fall in love with Sensei Demura. I pair this with his Favorite food, Pizza, but my kind of Pizza. A classic NY style slice. I also talk a little but about the idea of being an introvert and an extrovert. I think there is more than those choices and I think a lot of people who think they are introverts are actually something else. I'm not an introvert, I'm very shy, with some social anxieties from time to time. I love social interaction, I just fear making it happen. Voltron & London Broil - Spoiler Free! The Voltron revival on Netflix is a bit of nostalgia done really well. They took what worked for the old show and made it accessible to the audience of today, both child and taller child alike. As soon as I turned off the mic I realized I completely forgot to mention one of my favorite bits about this show, the mice!!! The Mice are so cool and I just love them. I paired this with a staple meal of my youth, London Broil, broccoli, and potatoes. Second generation Irish, of course we like potatoes. Sense 8 & 8 Superfood Salad - Spoiler Free! Sense 8 is perhaps the one Netflix series that uses the format of binge watching in it's story telling medium. Written into four episode acts this series does more for the screen than the traditional delivery method could provide. JMS & the Wakoski siblings knock it out of the park with this series and I can't wait until season two! Pair this with a salad i now call Salad 8, it's got 8 "superfoods" in it and I add goat cheese. Archer & General Tso Chicken - Spoiler Free! Archer makes me want to warn you that we are entering the DAAAANGER ZOOOOOONE!!!! Archer is a fun adult cartoon that can be found on Netflix, but originally airs on FX. On the surface this show looks like a shallow funny comedy with lots of problematic humor. Yet it has a lot of depth to the story but even more the characters. You can't help but falling in love with these characters and caring a lot about their lives. Best Exotic Marigold Hotel & Indian Food - Spoiler Free! The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a fun movie and I give you a spoiler free review because I really wanted to talk about the Indian food I had tonight. It's available on Netflix and stars a fantastic cast including Maggie Smith, Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Tina Desai, Dev Patel, and more! Cooking with Nuchtchas! Cooking with Nuchtchas, Chicken Cordon Bleu. The neat thing about the Dog Days of Podcasting is that it lets you experiment and break up the format. A few other podcasters in pervious years recording themselves cooking, I'm pretty sure this was started by Michael Butler. Cooking with Butler is a seldom regular segment on the Rock and Roll Geek show, and I always love listening to it, so I thought I'd try it out myself. I made chicken cordon bleu with some changes, like no breadcrumbs and using skinless boneless thighs instead of breasts. It was a success, I will be making that again. Ingredients: boneless/skinless thighs jarlsberg swiss cheese ham corn flour spices sea salt and cracked pepper * Mix corn flour with spices, sea salt, and cracked pepper and put in a bag. * Tenderize thighs * Dust chicken by putting in the bag and shaking it up * Cut jarlsberg into appropriate size chunks for the size of your thighs * Wrap cheese in ham * Wrap ham and cheese in chicken thigh * Place chicken on a lightly greased baking pan * Bake at 350ish for 20minutes I ended up pairing it with Flying Monkeys 12 minutes to destiny, and then recorded a Beer of the Moment for Chiaki Nutty Bites is participating in the Dog Days of Podcasting Project, 30 days of podcasts.
