Slam Radio 228 with YYYY YYYY is an anonymous Techno duo based on Buenos Aires active since 2013. Their eclectic sound spreads through Techno, Industrial, Atmospheric, Dub and Drone. Their performances in both live and hybrid format are known to be forceful and introspective, going from aggressive to deeply emotional and back again. Merging ancient mysticism with avant experimental techno, they released music on labels like Weekend Circuit, Aine (PoleGroup), Planet Rhythm, Evod, and Injected Poison. Slam Radio 222 with UBX127 After bursting out onto the scene with three stellar EPs for Len Faki’s Figure in 2016, it’s time to lift the veil of anonymity over one of Sweden’s best kept secrets. Listening to the finely tuned synth-work that permeates most of his deep and dubbed out techno excursions, it becomes clear that UBX127 is not a new player to the game. While the Warp-catalogue of the mid-90s helped him develop a keen ear for futuristic electronic sounds early on, soon his focus shifted towards techno and raves. Following this newfound creative spur while drawing inspiration within the confinements of hardware and instruments, UBX127 now is all about delving deeper into a personal exploration of what techno actually means. Slam Radio 221 with Freddy K Freddy K: techno activist. Since the ‘90s Alessio Armeni has been tireless campaigning from the dancefloor, defending vinyl, championing young talents and reinforcing the scene from the shadows. You will know him best for his marathon DJ sets and deviant selections. You might recognise him as the head of KEY Vinyl, or for the backstage role he played at M_Rec, the label he helped run with best friend Max_M. His performance history started in 1995 as a Drum n Bass Dj called Divine, later started playing Techno switching to the Moniker Plural and has played mostly in the U.S. His calm demeanor belies the massive amounts of energy he creates in his highly technical DJ sets, and the ethereal beauty of his live performances.
