Bucs Pewter Nation Podcast Ep 126: Bruce Arians | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:50:50

Mandatory mini-camp may have wrapped up but that didn't stop Pewter Report from getting a big time guest for this show. Bucs' head coach Bruce Arians sat with us for an interview to reflect on how practice has gone from his vantage point, and his overall experience since becoming head coach of the team. Don't forget to put in a bid for a Paul "Bear" Bryant Coke bottle with Bruce Arians' signature on it. The proceeds will all go to the Arians Family Foundation. Outside of coach Arians' interview, the guys got into some topics such as who will be the starter at nickel, which player will return punts this year, and some more thoughts on Jameis Winston. Stay tuned for an action packed episode.

Bucs Pewter Nation Podcast Ep125: REVENGE Of Captain Interruption | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:52:47

After a one week suspension that wasn't actually a suspension, the whole gang is back together as Mark Cook is back on the show to join show regulars Scott Reynolds, Matt Matera and Taylor Jenkins. Gerald McCoy is on the move to a new team but the Bucs will get to see him twice a year. The group gets their discussion going on the outrage some fans had over the Bucs giving McCoy's old number of 93 to Ndamukong Suh, along with how he'll look playing in Carolina. It was also the first day of mandatory mini-camp and Jameis Winston didn't look as sharp as he had. Jameis has notoriously been a better quarterback on the move as to when he has time to sit back and overthink some plays, and the group breaks that down, wondering if Bruce Arians will say that and play to what he does best. Other topics that went on in between Mark's interruptions were the job well done by Jamel Dean and Mike Edwards, Antony Auclair and Tanner Hudson's role on this team, and a new wrinkle for O.J. Howard in this offense. Stay tuned for a hilarious episode.

Bucs Pewter Nation Podcast Ep124: A Boy Named Suh | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:51:19

It was a bit of different day from beginning to end at the Bucs facilities on Friday. After the media spent a few minutes at the indoor facility, we we then ventured off to Ndamukong Suh's opening press conference after he passed a physical. On another note, Mark Cook was suspended from this episode for his antics on our last show, so Scott Reynolds was joined by Matt Matera and Taylor Jenkins for this one. The guys got into Suh's press conference, discussing the impact Todd Bowles had on getting him here, and how he's been able to keep his aggression on the field without going overboard anymore. The topic than transitions over to Bruce Arians and why he wanted to cancel practice, who was their today, and why Suh wearing 93 isn't a big deal. Stay tuned for that and much more in this new episode.

Bucs Pewter Nation Podcast Ep123: OTAs AND Suh | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:53:50

We're into week three of the third phase of OTAs, and Scott Reynolds, Mark Cook, Matt Matera and Taylor Jenkins are ready for training camp to start. The entire group agreed this week saw some more or less of the same, but the loved the competition between Scotty Miller and Mike Edwards, as both were diving and being physical in a part of practice where you're technically supposed to be. One player that hasn't arrived yet is Ndamukong Suh. We go down that road again of why his attitude and toughness is what that the coaches want, and that's ultimately where these decisions come from. Some debates rage on between Mark and Scott regarding a certain pronunciation of a name, and then they both get into some funny stories about their kids. There's a little something for everyone on this episode of the Pewter Nation Podcast.

Bucs Pewter Nation Podcast Ep 122: End Of The McCoy Era | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:37:29

It's a new era for the Bucs organization as the Bucs have decided to part ways with nine-year veteran, Gerald McCoy. The group of Scott Reynolds, Mark Cook, Matt Matera and Taylor Jenkins all discuss the move, while also getting into what McCoy meant to the Tampa Bay community and where he might play next. This episode was recorded before the news of Ndamukong Suh singing with the Bucs broke, but they did bring up the topic of Suh replacing Gerald McCoy, and why his attitude would fit more in Bruce Arians' system. Finally, the guys break down what went on during week two of OTAs, including Vernon Hargreaves returning along with Breshad Perriman's importance to the team. Check it all out right here.

Bucs Pewter Nation Podcast Ep121: The Great Wizard Bruce | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:46:12

Phase three of OTAs started for the Bucs on Tuesday but Vernon Hargreaves wasn't practicing with the entire team. The guys break down Bruce Arians' message of why Hargreaves wasn't out there as we try to get to the bottom of this plot. Next, we give our thoughts on what else we saw from practice including Matt Gay vs. Cairo Santos in a kicking battle, and the job well done by Breshad Perriman. To wrap things up, the group addresses the ongoing Gerald McCoy saga. They discuss whether or not he would consider missing mandatory practice in a month from now, and who could be a possible replacement for him in free agency. Get yourself pumped for another fun episode!

Bucs Pewter Nation Podcast Ep119: The Assistant Coach Marathon | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:07:58

The buzz around the draft hasn't slowed down even after day three of the 2019 Draft was finished. Scott Reynolds, Mark Cook, Matt Matera, and Taylor Jenkins dissect the picks that the Bucs made with what we liked and didn't like. This included Devin White and Sean Murphy-Bunting, while Scott and Mark even made a case for drafting kicker Matt Gay. Once the draft was put aside, we turned our attention to the press conferences that took place with pretty much every single coach on Bruce Arians staff. It was a marathon of assistant coaches over Wednesday and Thursday that were up at the podium, but great insight was given on players such as Noah Spence, Ronald Jones, Mike Edwards, and Jameis Winston. We give our thoughts on these situations and much more in this episode.
