Bill Voth joined us to discuss his history in sports media, Charlotte as a sports town, and answer some rapid fire questions. We also learned about the phenomenal Julius Chambers and Supportive Guy recaps the Academy Awards.
On today’s pod we were updated by Meredith and Smasheton of RunningWorks about a major project they have to help the homeless community in Charlotte. Later Jarvis Holliday joined the pod to go over his article on the CIAA and help us pick the best parties to attend. We also learned some important history and Mark Gottfied was supported by Supportive Guy.

We welcomed Blake Bourne of Charlotte Bridge Home to talk about his organization and what it does for veterans and their families to help them adjust to civilian life. We also learned about Harvey Gantt and Supportive Guy taught us about the joy of Christmastown, USA.
We were joined by the brilliant photojournalist Logan Cyrus to talk about his background, what it was like to cover the Charlotte Protests, and his photo series on the election. We also talked about how it is not going to snow on Christmas and Supportive Guy shares with us his Supportive Oath.
In this week’s episode we sat down with Jonathan Jones, sportswriter for Sports Illustrated and formerly of the Charlotte Observer. We covered a ton of ground, talking Gaston County, kids/dogs at breweries, and of course what the hell is wrong with the Panthers. We also asked Jonathan to talk about his performance out there and John shared the details of the hallowed grounds of Memorial Stadium. We also ended by giving our buddy Supportive Guy some support for all the support he’s given us this year.
Today we were joined by Vic Howie, founder and creator of the US National Whitewater Center and Pitch Breakfast. Vic’s story about how an idea on a napkin became the USNWC is fascinating and shows the importance of having a positive community for startups in Charlotte. We also were #blessed with Part 2 of Supportive Guy’s “This Is Not Called Fifty Shades of Gravy.”
