 Ep. 14 - 'Two Weeks Notice' (2002) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:55:27

This week, Tim Hayne, Rachel Horner, Tony Maccio, and Phil Pirrello watched the Sandra Bullock / Hugh Grant rom-com, "Two Weeks Notice." Sure, the title is technically missing an apostrophe, but nothing is missing from the undeniable chemistry between the movie's stars. Among other topics discussed: too much Chinese food, diarrhea theme songs, mystery characters, and confusing AF circus parties. Maybe one day all the questions we have about this movie will be answered by its inevitable, completely unnecessary straight-to-Netflix sequel.

 Ep. 13 - 'Armageddon' (1998) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:05:28

You won't want to close your eyes. You won't want to fall asleep. 'Cause we're talking about "Armageddon," and you won't want to miss a thing. This week, the CAN'T WAIT! crew (Tim Hayne, Rachel Horner, Phil Pirrello, and Tony Maccio) tackles the 1998 Michael Bay disasterpiece, drilling down to its core like its a Texas-sized asteroid on a collision course with Earth. Among the topics discussed: Bay's penchant for trailer-made movies, a Michael Bay shared cinematic universe, and the problems inherent to giving screen time to an ensemble cast of roughly 500 people. Also, Tony Gilroy and J.J. Abrams were involved in the making of this movie, which raises A LOT of questions. Tune in next week for Rachel's pick, "Two Weeks Notice," in which Hugh Grant is charmingly befuddled and Sandra Bullock has diarrhea.

 Ep. 12 - 'The Hand That Rocks the Cradle' (1992) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:37

This week, Tim Hayne, Phil Pirrello, Rachel Horner, and Tony Maccio talk about 1992's most disquieting, lactation-inducing, politically incorrect thriller, "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle." Directed by Curtis Hanson (yes, that Curtis Hanson), "Cradle" follows the exploits of a vengeful nanny named Peyton (Rebecca De Mornay) and her hapless, far less interesting victims: asthmatic mom (Annabella Sciorra), Lloyd Braun from "Seinfeld" / dad (Matt McCoy), adorable little girl (Madeline Zima), sassy redhead / nosy best friend (Julianne Moore!), and mentally challenged Ernie Hudson. This movie works hard to make its audience feel as uncomfortable as humanly possible, and, for the most part, it truly succeeds. Sinister, nipple-exposed breastfeeding, anyone? Tune in next week for Phil's pick: Michael Bay's two-and-a-half hour Aerosmith music video, "Armageddon." You won't want to miss a thing.

 Ep. 11 - 'Road House' (1989) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:06:40

Gratuitous nudity. Cheesy lines. High-waisted pants. Bonkers violence. More high-waisted pants. Yes, we're talking about 1989's impactful ode to coolers, "Road House." #BouncerLife This week, the Moviefone crew (Tim Hayne, Rachel Horner, Phil Pirrello, and Tony Maccio) couldn't wait to talk about the greatest Patrick Swayze movie ever released on May 19, 1989, including its mysterious bouncer subculture roots, nonsensical fight sequences, and the curious, crime-riddled town of Jasper, MO (which could be a real town, because it has a sign and everything; and it doesn't look anything like southern California). The movie has a lot of issues, most of which we point out in the process of declaring our love for this R-rate piece of '80s perfection. In addition to unsolicited medical diagnoses, we dreamcast a "Road House" reboot, which could (and does) go in some pretty unexpected directions. Not interested in "Road House"? Fair enough. For you, we offer up a few recommendations to get you through the weekend. Next week's movie is a Tim Hayne pick: the 1992 Curtis Hanson masterpiece "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle."

 Ep. 10 - 'The Wedding Planner' (2001) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:08

Oh, "The Wedding Planner." In theory, you're a wonderful piece of J.Lo rom-com nostalgia. In fact, however, you're far more terrible than anyone could have ever remembered. If you haven't guessed by now, this week, Tim Hayne, Tony Maccio, Phil Pirrello, and Rachel Horner sink their teeth into Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey's 2001 romantic comedy hit, "The Wedding Planner," and gnaw it to its misguided, nonsensical, terrible-Italian-accented bone. For the record, they really wanted to like this movie -- you could say they planned to like it -- Rachel and Tim, especially. Alas, much like 50 percent of marriages in America, this movie was doomed from the start. Are there redeeming qualities? Sure, but they're few and far between. Judy Greer, for instance, and Kathy Najimy's "boss" wig -- but you'll have to listen to the podcast for the rest. Next week's movie is a Tony Maccio pick: 1989's "Road House," starring Patrick Swayze, Kelly Lynch, and a giant can of whoopass.

 Ep. 9 - 'The Long Kiss Goodnight' (1996) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:48

Eight episodes in, and we're already mixing it up. We're testing out a brand-new format, one that brings our love for specific average-to-mediocre movies directly to fellow lovers of specific average-to-mediocre movies. That's right, we're going to make a case for movies that deserve a second chance, movies that were either poorly received by critics, bombed at the box office, or were so middle-of-the-row you forgot they even existed ... and, in some cases, all three! It's time to serve up some movie justice and have a ton of fun along the way. This week, we take hard look at screenwriter Shane Black's '90s action opus "The Long Kiss Goodnight," starring a bleach-blonde Geena Davis, a sassy Samuel L. Jackson, Brian Cox (aka Prof. Curmudgeon), and Craig Bierko as the villainous Dr. Crazy Eyes. Director Renny Harlin made one hell of an action movie, and it deserves to be watched with clear eyes and a full heart because you can't lose with this one. Gotta movie you want us to watch and talk about? Tell us in the comments, or hit up Moviefone on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

 Ep. 8 - Hot Movies of 2017, Doug Jones Interview | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:54:32

Say hello to "The Bye Bye Man." This week on CAN'T WAIT!, Tim Hayne, Tony Maccio, and Rachel Horner (we're not sure what happened to Phil Pirrello, but we have to believe it's "Star Trek"-related) take a stab at listing all the movies they can wait to see in 2017. It's a lengthy list, because 2017 is, apparently, the year every studio decided to release their biggest tentpoles. Let's hope they left something for 2018. What could get better than talking about the movies coming out in 2017? How about talking to someone who's starring in two of them! Doug Jones, star of "The Bye Bye Man" (in theaters Friday, January 13th) joins us in-studio to talk about his titular role in the horror movie ... but we couldn't stop there. We chatted him up about his latest collaboration with writer/director Guillermo del Toro, "The Shape of Water"; his experience making the now-classic, then-flop "Hocus Pocus" (he played undead Billy Butcherson, in case you needed your memory jogged), his role as lead Gentleman in one of the most beloved episodes of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" ever, "Hush"; and so much more. We also introduce a new segment called First Things Last, in which we ask guests about some important firsts in their lives. You tell us if you like it. Per usual, we end the episode with a few recommendations to keep you busy until next time.

Ep. 7 - 'Rogue One' Reactions, Holiday Movie Swap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:26

May The Force be with us. This week on "CAN'T WAIT!", Tim Hayne, Tony Maccio, Rachel Horner, and Phil Pirrello offer up their thoughts on the brand-new trailers for three highly anticipated 2017 movies: "Spider-Man: Homecoming," "War for the Planet of the Apes," and "The Fate of the Furious" -- or, more appropriately titled, "The F8 of the Furious." Everyone is excited about all three movies, except for Rachel, who just can't seem to get in the driver's seat of the "Fast & Furious" franchise. The conversation then moves to the Moviefone gang's Not-So-Secret Santa Holiday Movie Swap, in which we each pulled a name out of a hat and gifted that lucky person with the holiday movie of our choosing. Tony got Phil, who watched the 1994 remake of "Miracle on 34th Street"; Phil got Tim, who watched the animated "Arthur Christmas"; Tim got Rachel, who watched Finland's classic "Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale"; and Rachel got Tony, who watched Nancy Meyers's "The Holiday." And a Merry Christmas was had by all. Except for Tony, whose movie was about 30 minutes longer than everyone else's. Next up: "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." The gang -- who all saw the movie -- gets down to business, talking about the highs, lows, and very confounding reviews for the "Star Wars" one-off. It's mostly a spoiler-free session, but you're still listening at your own risk.

Ep. 6 - Best Holiday Movies, Star Wars Hot Takes | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:38:15

This week on "CAN'T WAIT!", Tim Hayne, Tony Maccio, Rachel Horner, and Phil Pirrello chat a bit about Netflix's new offline-viewing capability (pay us, Netflix!) and nerd out over the "Alien: Covenant" post and release date change. Tony makes the mistake of mentioning "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," which sends Phil and Rachel into a hot take-fueled tailspin. As a result, Tim feels left out and uncomfortable, while Tony sits alone in his regret. After an awkward segue, the conversation turns to holiday movies. Yay! We discuss our all-time favorite holiday flicks -- some traditional and some not-so-traditional -- with a few controversial picks in the mix. In the end, Tim reveals his Hallmark movie-loving inner 80-year-old, Rachel re-commits to "Grinch"-mas, Phil makes a startling Peanuts-related confession, and Tony just wants everyone to have a "White Christmas." At the end of the podcast, Tim, Phil, Rachel, and Tony play Secret Santa, with each picking a name out of a hat. The Secret Santas then will gift (more like assign) a holiday movie to the giftee, who will watch it in preparation for the next episode. Be sure to tune in next time, when those picks -- and more hot takes -- will be revealed.

Ep. 5 - Oscar Talk, Kenneth Lonergan Interview | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:04:13

So many Oscar contenders, so little time. In this week's nearly Rachel Horner-free episode of CAN'T WAIT!, the Moviefone crew (Tim Hayne, Phil Pirrello, and Tony Maccio) do their best to filter through the onslaught of current Oscar frontrunners and come up with some best guesses as to who and what will be nominated. (Spoiler alert: All categories belong to the 1995 comedy classic "Heavyweights." Not really, but you'll get the reference if you listen to the podcast.) Director Kenneth Lonergan joins the podcast in the midst of our Oscars analysis, chatting with Phil about topics ranging from his Oscar-buzz-worthy "Manchester by the Sea" to his love of "Star Trek" and how it plays into the Casey Affleck-starring drama. Phil may or may not have called him Kenny. Also, apologies for the audio quality this time around -- we're still working out a few kinks with the on-location sessions. After mentioning a few more Academy Award-worthy movies that we haven't seen but would like to at some point in our lives, we venture into recommendation territory. Noticeably absent Rachel Horner blesses us with her recommendation(s) from the road, while Tony and Phil offer up their picks from the comfort of the studio. Tim, per usual, contributes nothing.

 Ep. 4 - 'Doctor Strange' Review, 'Deadpool 2' Dilemmas | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:46:54

This week on "CAN'T WAIT!", Tim Hayne, Rachel Horner, Phil Pirrello, and Tony Maccio offer up their takes on the new trailer for sci-fi thriller "Life" (domestic and international, because we're fancy) and set sail on a discussion regarding the merits of saying goodbye to "Deadpool 2" director Tim Miller and hello to names like "Daredevil" producer Drew Goddard and "John Wick" co-director David Leitch. Ryan Reynolds is so powerful, you guys. Then the magic happens ... we're talking about Marvel's "Doctor Strange," offering up some spoiler-free thoughts on what a wizard looks like in the MCU. Hint: He ain't Harry Potter. Double hint: A cape as a sidekick totally works. Triple hint: Tilda Swinton = Prayer Hands. (PS: M.C. Escher was doing it before "Inception," so back off haters.) And that's not all! Keep listening as our recommendations segment turns into "Documentary Corner," hosted by Tony and Rachel. Those crazy kids love to learn.

 Ep. 3 - Baby Groot, Childhood-Ruining Horror Movies | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:50:50

This week on "CAN'T WAIT!", Tim Hayne, Rachel Horner, Phil Pirrello, and Tony Maccio explore the nerd-splosion-inducing teaser trailer for Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" and decide that you need all 87 glorious seconds of it in your life right now. Also, two words: BABY GROOT. The new poster comes up too, but that's pretty anticlimactic at this point. (Tim apologizes to the esteemed director of "Thor: Ragnarok," Taika Waititi. Hey, it's still October, so let's dive head first into the horror movies that destroyed our childhoods, shall we? "Child's Play" and its murderous Chucky seems to have had the biggest impact, while "Nightmare on Elm Street," "Friday the 13th," "Texas Chain Saw Massacre," and "Poltergeist" definitely left their marks. Special recognition goes to "Jaws" for ruining childhoods and adulthoods. PS: We still don't have a tagline.

Ep. 2 - Horror Movie Gems, So Many Sequels | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:51:55

This week on "CAN'T WAIT!", Tim Hayne, Rachel Horner, Phil Pirrello, and Tony Maccio dive into the teaser photo / title announcement for "Blade Runner 2049"; explore the mysterious reveal of "Wolverine 3's" new title, "Logan" (as well as its accompanying super-somber poster), and chat about the Oscar-bait-y first trailer for Jacqueline Kennedy biopic "Jackie," starring Natalie Portman. And what would an October podcast be without horror movies? 'Tis the season (Halloween!), so we're talking about our favorite horror movie gems, the scary flicks that haven't quite reached horror movie classic status but are worth checking out because -- fingers crossed! -- they'll get there some day. We'll also be talking about horror movies throughout the month of October, so be sure to subscribe to the podcast (links below) so you don't miss out. #FOMO

 Ep. 1 - Must-See Fall Movies, Dragon Love Never Dies | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:27:38

In the premiere episode of "CAN'T WAIT!", Tim Hayne (Executive Editor), Phil Pirrello (Senior Editor), Rachel Horner (Social Media Editor), and Tony Maccio (Producer) try their very best to stay on topic and tackle some current events, including a "Murder on the Orient Express" remake casting announcement, the latest "Inception-y" TV spot for "Doctor Strange," and the new, chock-a-block fulla beasts trailer for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." For our main course, we dig into the fall movies we can't wait to see, and -- SPOILER ALERT -- we don't agree on everything. After some random bouts of tomfoolery -- and an impassioned proclamation of love for Disney's "Pete's Dragon" -- we finish things off with some recommendations for what to watch at home in the worlds of TV and movies. Bless you for listening.
