Dark Matter’s anniversary party featured a ton of great beer from local breweries and it was pretty amazing that they were basically giving this all away to their friends and family. Coming up this weekend are two beer festivals happening in the suburbs. On July 15th you have Naperville Ale Fest and a bit farther north in Lake Villa, there is Lake Villa Craft Beer Fest. This Strawberry Lemon Kölsch really catches your eye on the shelf and is a pretty fun one to try. While the guys knock back a couple of these they talk about Craft Brews at the Zoo, a visit to Open Bottle and Blue Island Beer Co. Coming up this weekend are a couple of fun events. On Friday and Saturday is the Chicago Ale Fest at Butler Field in Grant Park. Tickets for the events are $59 or you can grab the early admission tickets for $69. On Saturday and Sunday is Beermiscuous 3rd Anniversary! Be sure to stop in on either Saturday 6/24 or 6/25, you know they are going to have some fun offerings.
