His audiences are left feeling empowered, educated and entertained. A family psychologist by license, John points out to all his audiences that “psychology has caused more problems than it has solved for American parents.” John’s mission is to be a counter-weight to the psychological parenting paradigm that was sold to America in the late 1960s/early 1970s, restore commonsense to the raising of children, and give parents the guidance needed to raise happy, well-mannered children who will, as adults, contribute value to culture and society.

 Because I Said So! 7.09.2016 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:01

[This episode originally aired 7.09.2016] In this episode, John shares a letter he received from a teacher who recently returned to education after a 10-year hiatus.  In the letter, she describes her current class as one of the worst she's ever had and places the blame on current parenting methods, which are largely methods-based. John contends that proper discipline, whether you are a parent or a teacher, is not proper methods properly used. Rather, it is a proper attitude properly projected that reflects complete confidence in your adult authority. More about John Rosemond at www.rosemond.com and www.parentguru.com.

 Because I Said So! 6.25.2016 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:00

[This episode originally aired 6.25.2016] In this episode, John reflects on his and Willie's life in their early twenties, when they were newly married and new parents. They lived simply (in a single-wide trailer) and sacrificed so that they could create a life for themselves independent of their parents. He says that today's young adults who are starting their independent lives aren't willing to suffer hardship. Millenials aren't leaving home, most of which are men. This trend, John contends, is contributing to the ollapse of masculinity in America. More about John Rosemond at www.rosemond.com and www.parentguru.com.

 Because I Said So! 6.18.2016 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:00

[This episode originally aired 6.18.2016] In this episode, John talks about the claim from the LGBTQ community that homosexuality and transgenderism is innate. This idea has now wormed its way into churches across the country, where pastors are standing on their pulpits proclaiming that these lifestyles predetermined.  John cannot find any credible, objective research to prove that they were, indeed, born that way. He says that, without a doubt, these lifestyles are a choice. More about John Rosemond at www.rosemond.com and www.parentguru.com.

 Because I Said So! 6.11.2016 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:01

[This episode originally aired 6.11.2016] In this episode, John talks about the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which was signed by President Bill Clinton in 1995.  This human rights treaty requires state and local government to enforce its provisions within the borders of the United States. John feels that this is not really a treaty protecting the rights of the child, rather it is a treaty that strips parents of the right to raise their children the way they see fit. More about John Rosemond at www.rosemond.com and www.parentguru.com.

 Because I Said So! 6.04.2016 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:01

[This episode originally aired 6.04.2016] In this episode, John speaks on the culture of political correctness in which we currently live and its effect on the rights of parents to raise their children the way they see fit. He uses the example of a recent news story out of Spartanburg, SC, in which a mother was arrested for allowing her 9-year-old nephew to walk her 3-year-old son to a McDonald's a quarter mile away from her house.   More about John Rosemond at www.rosemond.com and www.parentguru.com.

 Because I Said So! 5.28.2016 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:01

[This episode originally aired 5.28.2016] In this episode, John talks about the immoral and unethical direction that he feels his profession of psychology has gone in the past 40 to 50 years.  His experienced take is that psychologists today encourage people to have symptoms. Instead of helping people come to grips with wrongheadedness, they encourage it by promoting fad therapies.  One such therapy he points to is the trend toward adolescent transgender therapy.  More about John Rosemond at www.rosemond.com and www.parentguru.com.

 Because I Said So! 5.21.2016 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:00

[This episode originally aired 5.21.2016] In this episode, John describes a talk given recently by his good friend, nationally-syndicated radio talk show host Dennis Prager, in which Prager spoke on the topic of happiness.  Prager feels that you are responsible for your own happiness and says that if you don’t accept full responsibility for that state of being, you are going to be miserable. John relates this viewpoint to parenting: The more a parent tries to ensure a child’s happiness, the more the parent unwittingly and with the best of intentions robs the child of the personal right to pursue happiness on his or her own.   Prager also says that when all is said and done, it doesn’t matter how you feel; all that matters is how you treat other people. John applies this advice to parenting and says that proper parenting is very simply an act of love for your neighbor. Train your child such that the child will treat other people properly and contribute toward making America a better place. In the final analysis, the only thing that matters is that the child grows up to be a good citizen - not your child’s grades, athletic achievements, or what college he/she gets into. It is simply his level of self-responsibility, level of compassion, and willingness to serve others unselfishly. More about John Rosemond at www.rosemond.com andwww.parentguru.com.

 Because I Said So! 5.14.2016 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:00

[This episode originally aired 5.14.2016] In this episode, John addresses a recent Dear Abby column in which a grandmother writes in asking why today's mothers feel so much angst in the raising of children. John says the problem is due largely in part to what he calls postmodern psychological parenting and the pressure today's mothers feel to adhere to the destructive doctrine of the Good Mommy Club. Therefore, something her grandmother did with relatively little effort is stressful, anxiety-, self-doubt-, and guilt-ridden—in a word, exhausting.  More about John Rosemond at www.rosemond.com andwww.parentguru.com.

 Because I Said So! 5.07.2016 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:01

[This episode originally aired 5.07.2016] In this episode, John talks about raising competent children, specifically what you can do early on in a child’s life in order to facilitate competence and a sense of confidence in your child’s ability to handle life’s challenges adequately.
