Summary: Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome have impacted our family, and this is the chronicle of our journey. We are Mike and Heather, and we share stories from our family, along with interviews from experts in the Autism community. We will talk with Authors, Specialists, Doctors, Activists and legal professionals to gather insight on how to better prepare our kids for full integration into school, society and independent adulthood. Heather and I continue our story of Mikey starting Kindergarten and where he is today.
Quite a few years back, I met Lindsi at a Photography Conference and we stayed in touch since then. I learned last year (I believe) that she is a special education teacher and has a lot of experience with kids like Mikey. We share a conversation about how, as parents we can help through the use of accommodations.
