When I went to the Atlanta Pen Show a few weeks back, I was fortunate to be able to sit down with Dan Bishop of Karas Kustoms for a video interview. Dan is an absolute trip and I think you're really going to enjoy our banter.
In this episode, I talk about why you would ever need more than two fountain pens, if legal pads ruin your nibs, and what I do to prevent getting scammed!
The last several years we've been asked to go to various pen shows across the US. We attend the DC show every year because it's close to us, and we've never been to any other show. This year we decided to go to the 2016 Atlanta show which was from April 15-17, and we're really glad we did. Catch our recap of the weekend here.
In this week’s episode, I talk about the Atlanta Pen Show, Edison nibs, and whether my being so involved in Goulet branding is helping or hurting?
In this episode I talk about titanium nibs, how all the exclusive Goulet inks came to be, and my next Holy Grail pen!
In this week's Goulet Q&A, I talk about how to ease into nib tuning, the lightest pens with the finest nibs, and which products have been a total flop. Enjoy!
It's an exciting day here at Goulet Pens! We've had my eye on the Pilot Decimo every since we started carrying the Pilot Vanishing Point years ago. But at the time, the Decimo wasn't imported into the US. It wasn't until 2016 that the pens were set to be released here in the States, and now here we are. The Decimo is very, very similar to the popular Vanishing Point, but slightly thinner and lighter in weight, offering a smaller option for those who still want the convenience of the retractable nib.
We'll cut right to the chase - we have decided to retire our Ink Drop ink sample subscription program as of April 2016. It's been a wonderful 5 1/2 years, but we are unable to continue. It's very bittersweet for us, as Ink Drop has been a part of our business for almost as long as we've been around. Learn more here.
In this episode of Goulet Q&A, I talk about the pros and cons of eyedropper conversions, the most polarizing pens I've seen, and why pen companies don't just all make perfect nibs. Enjoy!
In this week’s Goulet Q&A, I talk about putting dip flex nibs in Jinhaos, how Snapchat is influencing the pen world, and what it’s like to build luxury pen brand relationships.
We're happy to announce the newest Edison Nouveau Premiere, Water Lily! Swirls of aqua and magenta create a serene and hypnotic combination while the smooth Edison nib will have you floating across the page. The Spring 2016 Edison Nouveau Premiere Water Lily Special Edition is now available at Gouletpens.com.
In this episode, I talk about what pens to take on spring break, most popular pens in different price ranges, and what a Goulet rewards program might look like. Enjoy!
Montegrappa is a brand that we've been representing for several years, though mainly with their ink. The Fortuna Copper Mule is our first regularly offered Montegrappa pen at GouletPens.com, and it had such a cool story we just had to try it out.
In this week's episode, I give you a preview of the Pilot Con-40 converter, I pontificate how many pens it would take to reach the moon, and I tell you the best inks that no one every talks about.
I'm finally feeling better and am back with a new episode of Goulet Q&A for you! This week I talk about the inks everyone should have, how I rotate through my pen collection, and my favorite part of my job. Enjoy!
