It's a quick turnaround this week coming off of Saturday's huge FOUR! hour draft special so we'll be back to a brisk 10k this week as opposed to Saturday's marathon. On tonight's show, Luigi gave his first "avoid and deploy" of the year. Also, It's the start of the season so it was also the start of the "Luigi vs The Listeners Fantasy Showdown"! This is where we pick a fantasy team based on a certain category. So, to kick off the NFL season, we used current and former players on the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles. Lets see if the listeners can get an early win against Luigi. However, it got ugly quick for the listeners. On tonight's show, it was the one year anniversary of The Dumpster Fire! and to celebrate, Luigi put together the first ever Live Fantasy Football Draft. People were able to call in and chime in via social media while the picks were made to boo, cheer, question and mock them live! He asked 9 people to put their money where there mouth was and join his league and tonight ladies and gentleman, that draft happened live here at Moonshine. As the picks were made, Luigi was critiquing the picks, giving his best avaialable and also maybe trying to manipulate some of the draft participants while the pressure was on. It worked pretty well at one point too. Tony Bruno was sitting in with Luigi for the thrity minute lead in show and then Joe Ruffino rode with Luigi the rest of the way. This is the first time anything like this was attempted in the Fanstasy Football world so obviously things went terribly terribly wrong. On tonight's show, it's that time of the year for bold predictions sure to go wrong! So, Luigi gave his predictions for each team (in his own fun little way) along with his division winners and losers. Also, he gave out his Super Bowl 53 prediction which got one caller in particular fired up. He also mentione who he may just toss a few pesos on outside of his prognostication to win it all. The Eagles are Luigi's team so it's also time to go down the schedule and "give them a win dog, give them a loss dog" and break down the Eagles road possibly back to the Super Bowl. We had Joe Ruffino in the house driving the dumpster with Luigi tonight so he and the great Jose From Norristown made their selections as well. They were all on the same page though. On tonight's show, Luigi touched on the breaking MLB waver wire moves as well as Adrian Peterson signing with the Washington Redskins. Also, he went off on the story from last week about the NYC fanboy outcry, Kevin Spacey's new movie made less money than Luigi does and so he found a few other epic box office flops throughout the years as well. Kobe has announced he's going to play in the Big 3 next year so we took look at the current rosters to see where the best fit would be. Have you ever got stuck watching something for hours that you normally wouldn't watch for two seconds? well it happened to Luigi over the weekend. After a one week hiatus by Luigi and the crew, the boys were back to bring the noise pollution that chokes you up each and every week. It was a busy week of moving for Luigi but he's about settled in now and ready to take South Philly by storm. Luigi saw his first play during his time off and it did not disappoint. The World Cup has ended and now we won't be hearing anyone ask "can you put the soccer game on?" for four more years. We talked about the final for the final time this year and said goodbye to the World Cup. Also on tonight's show, we did a little recap of the Home Run Derby from last night and talked about the upcoming All Star Game as well. Luigi gave out his lock pick for tonight's game as well. For a little extra fun, it will be the fans vs Luigi building and All Star team of players from 1981 to today. The World Cup has brought us some of the greatest acting we've ever seen. The players flopping is on par with some of the greatest actors in history. So, on tonight's show we recited lines from Academy Award winning movies! but.... here's the kicker (get it? kicker?...) The famous Jose From Norristown was here live and he played the lead role in all the movies. Jose did not dissapoint one bit folks and he gave any leading man a run for their money. On tonight's show Luigi gave us a recap of his recent sit down (his only sitdown) with Phillies skipper Gabe Kapler. It went surprisingly well! The 2018 World Cup is underway and so on Tonight's show, Luigi and Joe (Ruffino) raised a pint to The Footballer's over in Mother Russia. Luigi found some of the greatest goal calls in soccer history, proving that nothing in sports compares to hearing a soccer announcer call a goal being scored. Also, since the games are in Russia we played "is it a Russian soccer player or a vodka?". The boys gave out teams for people to have a rooting intrest for a chance at a Moonshine gift card! There was a hoax on social media over the weekend announcing Back To The Future Four was green lit to go, But whats not a hoax is that Bill And Ted Three is a go!!! So, on tonight's show Luigi and Joe went back in time and asked, If you could be at any sports moment in history, where would you go? What would you like to travel to see happen in the future? and for the Bill And Ted angle, they're asked if you could bring back any historical figure, who would you bring back and why?. There were quite a few answers that came in and it was a pretty entertaining topic. And then.......... all hell broke loose! as Luigi was closing the show, a few phone calls came in and he decided to go to the phones. One was the great Jose from Norristown and the other was a the racist Juan from Alabama. Ladies and gentleman, this is a phone call you do not want to miss.
