Over the past several years there have been an increasing number of studies looking at the health pros and cons associated with the age of having dogs spayed and neutered or even at all.  Some studies have shown a slight uptick in the incidence of certain orthopedic conditions in large dogs neutered before 1 year of age but at the same time do not account for several unwanted consequences of waiting that long.
