We are preparing for our biggest Community Outreach event this week - our summer of serving’s Finale Week. We’re wrapping up Summer of Serving with over 40 ways to serve in just one week! We have Cheri Hennig, our Community Outreach Coordinator, with Pastor Christian and me today to talk about why we believe so strongly in Community Impact.

We recently started a series titled called Jesus & Lessons in Faith. The series premise is to learn some key lessons of faith that we will need to help us follow a teacher named Jesus whose teaching has captured our hearts. We are in Matthew 8 now and the message is called “Follow & Serve”. We will take a look at the natural result of salvation.

This week Pastor Christian combines the messages he preached at youth camp so that he could "bring camp home" to our church. Through the Biblical account of Elijah on Mount Carmel, he will talk about the challenge that is given to follow God or follow the gods of Baal or Asherah. It is a straightforward choice to follow God that unfortunately many people struggle to make with all of their hearts.

This week on the podcast we talked about message 1 in a new series titled Jesus & Lessons in Faith. We are in Matthew 8 now and the message is called “He’s Willing”. The series premise for this new series is: To learn some key lessons of faith that we will need to help us follow a teacher named Jesus whose teaching has captured our hearts.

On this week's podcast we talk about message 6 in the series titled called Jesus & Spiritual Foundations. We are in Matthew 7 and the message is called “The Storm”. This message is foundational to helping people to walk through the storms of life.

Sunday was message 4 in our series titled called Jesus & Spiritual Foundations. We are in Matthew 7 and the message is called “False Prophets”. Learn about how to have a daily walk with Jesus that can protect you from False Prophets and how to identify them.

Sunday was message 3 in a new series titled called Jesus & Spiritual Foundations. Pastor Christian teaches from 2 challenges verses in Matthew 7 and the message is called “Perfection Destroyed”.

Sunday was message three in a five week series called Jesus and Inner Strength. We are in Matthew 6 and our message this week was called Fasting through Breakthrough. Pastor Christian gives some Biblical insight and practical steps on gaining strength and inner strength by learning to fast.

This past week we started a new series called Jesus and Inner Strength. In this week's podcast pastor Christian helps us to understand the spiritual practice of reflection and how we through it we can gain inner strength from Jesus. We focused on the Luke 2 and the heart of Jesus' mother, Mary.

This week Pastor Christian concludes the tenth message in the Chasing Perfection section of Matthew 5 and also concludes the 3 message series title Jesus and Difficult People. We will take a closer look at the challenge Jesus gives us at the end of Matthew 5 and see the model that he is for us.

In this 2nd message in the Jesus and Difficult People series we discuss ways that we can be hurt but also how we can be deepened in our spiritual walks. We continue to learn from Jesus in Matthew 5.
