 H.O.S.H. - SXMusic Festival Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:13:04

♫ More ♫ http://www.deephouseamsterdam.com/sxmusic-festival-podcast-by-h-o-s-h/ In anticipation of his gig at the Caribbean SXMusic Festival is Holger Behn aka H.O.S.H., a DJ who prizes the art of mixing records and sequencing journeys - preferably long ones - over anything else.

Premiere: Catz 'N Dogz - Czas Poczeka (Chyba) (Fred Everything Remix) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:06:44

♫ More ♫ http://www.deephouseamsterdam.com/premiere-catz-n-dogz-czas-poczeka-chyba-fred-everything-remix/ Fresh from Catz ‘N Dogz own recent remixes of Disclosure, Roisin Murphy and Rufus comes their own remix compilation of their Basic Colour Theory album from artists such as Fred Everything, Jamie Jones, Claude Von Stroke, Eats Everything, Jay Shepheard, and Skudge. The original cuts of the Polish duo's third full-length Basic Colour Theory combined traditional songwriting and the group’s signature bass lines. This was undoubtedly influenced by the group’s busy DJ schedules around the world. The duo invited a number of guest vocalists to contribute to the project, including Green Velvet and Phat Kat. Across the weighty 16 tracks on the full release are warm grooves and up-tempo cuts. Each remix itself demands attention, as each one blissfully captures the original's fun-based lovingness. Other highlights featured on the compilation album such as Good Touch, Get It Right and The Joy are equally bulkier in vibe, more expansive, yet often less capacious in detail. Premiering here on DHA is the remix by UK based DJ/Remixer/Producer Fred Everything. The remix is thought of as an extended method of quotation, citation and commentary with each new sound enforcing the consistency and dependability of Catz ‘N Dogz original production, as melodies and vocals are trimmed away in favor of reimagined newfound rhythms. The collection will be released digitally as well as on vinyl on 11th March 2016.

 Prosumer - DHA Mixtape #193 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:08:53

♫ More ♫ http://www.deephouseamsterdam.com/mixtape-193-prosumer/ Up next on the DHA mixtape series is Edinburgh-based Achim Brandenburg aka Prosumer. Originally from Saarbruecken, he’s a highly respectable artist who has a passion for house music, smoothly produces records on the occasion, and enjoys sharing the music he loves. While deriving his name from Alvin Toffler’s techno sci-fi-bible The Third Wave (producing and consuming at the same time), Prosumer lives up to his name. Creating an album with Murat Tepeli and collaborating with artists such as Tama Sumo, Prosumer has put his name on labels like Frankfurt’s Playhouse, Running Back and Swayzak’s 240 Volts. On top of having more than a decade of Hard-Wax-enculturation on the clock, he’s spent countless nights in clubs, days digging for records and years refining his art, all while becoming in line with the electronic-music triad in America – Detroit, Chicago and New York. Prosumer oscillates between the outputs of these great cities. This holds true for his productions, which are riddled with historical references and vertexes, yet they never feel to be out of time or place. Tracklist available on our website.

Premiere: Fango - Tuono (Prins Thomas Diskomiks) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:06:20

♫ More ♫ http://www.deephouseamsterdam.com/premiere-fango-tuono-prins-thomas-diskomiks Following Fango’s latest album Tuono, which was praised by artists such as Marcel Dettman, Mixhell, Tim Sweeney, John Talabot, Maceo Plex, and DFA’s Jonathan Galkin, is a revisit by three of the most innovative producers around: Prins Thomas, Rebolledo, and Barnt and Jens. Premiering exclusively here on DHA is the remix of Norwegian DJ extraordinaire and space disco heavyweight Prins Thomas. Way back in time, Prins started playing around as a DJ at a puerile age. Viewing it as an extension of his break-dancing efforts, he began mixing hip-hop, electro and the likes of Arthur Baker and Shep Pettibone. He then took up the bass and found himself playing in more bands than Norway has trees. Having recently put out his Principe Del Norte album on Feb. 19th via Smalltown Supersound, Prins continues to build his status amongst tastemakers. In this release, Prins takes Tuono in from the raw and wraps it around a driving bass-line and horn synth texture. Fango - Tuono Remixed will be out on March 4 on Degustibus Music.

 Terranova - DHA Mixtape #191 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:52:46

♫ DOWNLOAD ♫ http://www.deephouseamsterdam.com/mix-191-by-terranova Sprouting from the heydays of the early 90s rave scene, Terranova is an electronic dance music duo comprised of Berlin and Paris based artists Fetisch and &ME. In the words of Terranova: “We grew up and got our education in clubs and will produce and play music until we drop.” Fetisch was born in Berlin and grew up between Brussels, London and New York. His boundary-spanning influence and distinctive personality have trademarked his position as a mover and a shaker in the underground scene. Spending his teenage nights at New York’s legendary Mudd Club, Roxy, and Paradise Garage – Fetisch began garnering influences from punk and hip-hop to ultimately formulate the Terranova sound. He launched his career by spinning records at NY mainstay clubs Danceteria and Tunnel, and regularly DJing at illegal warehouse raves in NYC and London. Moving back to Berlin in the mid ‘90s, Fetisch formed Terranova in 1996 as a project with shifting members and various vocalists to create his visionary blend of electronica, house, hip-hop, and punk. In 2007, Fetisch teamed up with Ghanaian DJ and founder of Keinemusik, &ME, and signed with Kompakt out of Cologne. Since then, Terranova released through iconic dance labels such as Ministry of Sound, DJ Hells Gigolo Records, Compost, Island Records and !K7. Fetisch continues his work with &ME, who is now a solid member of Terranova and their notorious famed act, The Lottergirls. They’ve gone on writing and producing soundtracks for movies and theatre, as well as a long list of remixes for groups as diverse as New Order, Roxy Music, Fisherspooner, Ennio Morricone, Gui Boratto, and Herbert Groenemeyer. https://soundcloud.com/editionterranova

 Nachtbraker - DHA Mixtape #189 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:23:34

♫ Download ♫: http://www.deephouseamsterdam.com/mix-189-by-nachtbraker ^tracklist at the link^ After receiving widespread recognition for books like “How Does He Do It?” and “Glorious Misunderstandings,” Maurits Verwoerd decided to start a career as a music producer. Though few doubted his skills as an artist, most of Maurits neighbours thought different about his compositions, causing him to start producing music in the underground dungeons of Amsterdam. Coming out occasionally, but only at night, slowly made him well known among friends and enemies as Nachtbraker (Dutch for night hawk). The signs of exposure to a wide range of genres are clearly hearable in his music, ranging from ecstatic slow grooves to unconventional dub tracks. Critics often praise him for adopting a wide pallet of sounds and subtle, detailed percussion. While his celebrated performances receive increasing recognition, it’s unquestionable that Nachtbraker will keep a lot of people comfortably awake for the coming years. https://soundcloud.com/nachtbraker
