Grouse Hunting season started and Meadow Kouffeld was in to tell us about it as well as the National Hunt in Grand Rapids and how to get younger people into hunting. Meadow is the Minnesota and Western Upper Peninsula Regional Biologist for the Ruffed Grouse Society and American Woodcock Society. Check out the Ruff Country News Summer edition here!

Every week we gather listener comments and questions about nature and discuss them during the Phenology Show on the Tuesday Mornings. Today we also talked with an adventurer who camped along the Mississippi River near the KAXE Studios last night. Daniel Lee is paddle boarding the Mississippi River raising money and awareness for the American Camping Association ( ACA) . ACA provides funding necessary for kids to experience camps and the outdoors, affecting 7.2M kids every summer. Find out more
