About Ernestine: Ernestine Johnson is a compelling actress, performance poet and event host. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ernestine, or _ EJ_ as some call her started acting at ten years old, appearing on shows such as Seventh Heaven,__ Sabrina The Teenaged Witch,_ and _Parent Hood._ In 1998, Ernestine knew she wanted to act after watching Cicely Tyson in the film_ Mama Flora’s Family._ Ernestine was a thespian throughout high school and college. Some of her recent credits include “Shots Fired” premiering on the FOX network in 2017 and her debut leading role in the feature film #DigitalLivesMatter. Her theater credits include, _Local Celebrity,_ Grease,__ A Raisin in The Sun and_ Fools._ She trained in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, perfecting her craft. Ernestine is also well known in the spoken word community, infamous for being uncensored and untamed on the microphone, speaking on matters dear to the heart. Her original spoken word piece “Average Black Girl” performed live on The Arsenio Hall Show, went viral with over 40 million views on the internet. Ernestine also performed live on the OWN Network’s hit show “It’s Not You It’s Men.” She was the Red Carpet host for McKinley Presents Ent. in Las Vegas, conducting interviews with various celebrities which led to her hosting a sports segment on KCEP Power 88.1.
