The Brewtiful Game invites you to hang out with Blake Braswell, Ron Keller, and Michael Ferris as we discuss all the current soccer stories while introducing you to a new craft brew with each episode. Some of the leagues and teams discussed are the Premier League, MLS, NWSL, USMNT, USWNT, and FIFA World Cup.

José, José, José…we are going to miss having you in the Premier League. In this latest show we talk some recent Premier League matches, but the discussion is really all about the firing of José Mourinho and what Manchester United will now do to regain glory. We also discuss the new playoff format MLS has unveiled for next season.
It’s been a busy week of soccer as we roll into this festive season of fixtures. We talk the highlights of last week’s Premier League matches, how things have shaken out to the Round of 16 for UEFA Champions League, the draw for the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and last but not least, Atlanta United being crowned this season’s champion of MLS after a fantastic season.
The MLS Championship game is set, and we have some Premier League news to talk about. Also, for our beer, this is part 2 of Ron’s New Zealand beers. We try three more from Lakeman Brewing in Taupō, New Zealand. Today’s beer picks are all variations of Pale Ales.
We are still stuffed from Turkey, and Ron is back from his trip to New Zealand ready to talk some Premier League, Champions League, and MLS. Ron found a ton of great breweries in New Zealand, and brought back a sample of brews from Lakeman Brewing Company. These were some fantastic beers we got to review.
In this episode we talk about an angry Juan Mata being disrespected by Raheem Sterling as Manchester United gets squashed by Manchester City. After covering the recent big Premier League matches, we look at Borussia Dortmund smacking down Bayern Munich, and then how MLS playoffs have shaken out so far.
Our Halloween Spooky special is here! It’s time for Premier League tales of haunted stadiums, a slaying at El Classico, and the withering of hope for several MLS clubs.
We are back, and so is the Arsenal. We look at how the Gunners form is rolling along, as well as what happened in week 9 of the Premier League. This of course includes the almost-fight of José Mourinho and Chelsea’s Maro Ianni. From there we look to the almost complete MLS Playoff picture, and the qualifying of the U.S. Women’s National Team for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
After celebrating episode 100, it’s time to get back into the beer and soccer with episode 101. We look at top matches from the Premier League’s eighth week of matches, and talk a lot about José Mourinho. We also look at the Manchester City and Liverpool draw, Chelsea being so consistently good, and the fact that Arsenal’s current run of great form sees them sitting back in the top 4. After Premier League talk, we go into the MLS Playoff hunt, and World Cup Qualifying for the USWNT.
Episode 100! We made it this far reviewing a lot of great beers (a couple that were gross), and chatting a lot of soccer. Thank you for joining us along the way, and here’s to 100 more!
