We hope you all are still doing well out there. We are back to talk about football coming back! We cover the first few matchdays of the Bundesliga, including the recent Dortmund vs. Bayern match. There is also a bit of an update from the Premier League, MLS, and NWSL to cover. Finally, we take a deep dive into the craft beer news around the world.
We are back with another show to talk about all the news before the soccer in Germany kicks off again. Topics cover the USWNT, current state of leagues, and Craft Beer News from around the world. The beers of the pod were a collection of three different beers since we are recording responsibly at our separate homes.
We are back, but not together, as we adhere to the current social distancing standard. Ron and Ferris call into the studio to chat a bit about soccer news. But let’s be honest, there isn’t much. So we go into some craft beer (good) news, and maybe get distracted by discussing Netflix’s TIGER KING. We are doing our best to keep sane in this wild time of our history, and we hope you can forget about your worries for an hour so, and join us for a cold one.
We are here with a new episode in very weird times. We here at the Brewtiful Game hope you are able to shelter safely in place and stay healthy. For those of you who can’t because you are on the frontline of essential jobs, we very much thank you. We hope we provide some distraction to your shelter in place days. We look at the soccer shutdown and U.S. Soccer looking really bad in their case against equal pay for the USWNT.
In this episode, we talk about the opening week of MLS, plus Ron and Blake explain how wrong Ferris is to support the VAR decision that went against Everton in their match against Manchester United. Will they convince Ferris that VAR is continually being paid off by Man United? Tune in to find out.
We are all three in the studio for this one as we look at the last week of Premier League matches. Blake and Ferris are feeling about their respective teams, Arsenal and Man United, so a Moo Thunder bet is made. The big topic of the week was VAR and it’s lack of consistency. It’s enough to drive a fan of the beautiful game to drink.
We are all back in the same continent, if not the same studio, and take a look at how things are shaking down in the Premier League. Or is it just officially Liverpool’s League now? We also take a look at the rest of the European leagues before looking ahead to the USWNT and the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
It’s our favorite soccer day of the year, Boxing Day! We take a look at all the storylines developing as we fly through these festive fixtures and check in on how Everton and Arsenal are looking with their new managers. Our holiday beers of the pod are an imperial eggnog cream ale called Nogged Out from Intercostal Brewing here in Florida, and Bush de Noël from Dubuisson.
We are back to look at how the Premier League storylines are shaping up, or for Arsenal, how it’s all falling apart. We also take a look at all the other top-flight leagues in Europe.
It’s a special pod. What could bring Ron all the way back from Beijing to join us live in the studio for a special episode? Why none other than the Special One himself, José Mourinho returning to the Premier League. José takes up a good chunk of our Premier League talk before Blake and Ferris bemoan the state of their clubs Arsenal and Man United respectively.
After the Premier League international break, we are back to look at how the storylines are continuing. Tottenham squeaks by with a draw and Man United nets a much-needed point from Liverpool. The race at the top gets a bit tighter. Then it’s time to talk MLS playoffs and the wild opening matches that occurred. The NWSL Final is set, and we take a quick look around the rest of the leagues in Europe.
After a break, the boys of the Brewtiful Game are back to talk to some soccer. We cover the crazy storylines of the Premier League seeing two mighty teams of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs fall from grace, along with the rise of other clubs into the top 6. From there we predict the outcomes of the MLS and NWSL Playoffs.
Premier League is rolling along, and our weekend mornings are so much happier for it. In this episode, the boys look at these first few weeks of Premier League and see if trends are already emerging. We also add a segment that takes a quick look at the other leagues in Europe.
The Premier League is back, and we couldn’t be happier. We discuss a bit of the opening weekend and give our predictions of the season ahead in the season preview. Ron calls in from Beijing to give us some historical info on the newly promoted clubs, and we get some insight into his overseas adventures. Also, Ferris brings in signed goodies from his time at the MLS All-Star match in Orlando.
We were finally able to sit down and discuss the final of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Spoiler alert: we have a lot of gushing things to say about the USWNT. I think we were still just as excited as we were when the final whistle blew. From the highs of victory, we go the other route and discuss the Gold Cup final. In this special episode, we send Ron off in style before work takes him to Beijing for the next two years.
