We return to our series about the life of Joseph with a focus on surviving a spiritual drought. All of us experience "dry spells" in our faith. Senior Minister Dan Toney gives us some tools we can use when it seems like God isn't moving.
We are taking a break from our current series to hear a message from Alan Wan. Alan is a representative from Good News Productions International.
People let us down. Sometimes, it may seem like God is letting us down. In this sermon from our series about the life of Joseph, Youth Minister Jordan Andler reminds us that God is always there, weaving our lives into a bigger story of redemption for the world.
When faced with temptation, what was Joseph's response? How can you shield your marriage from infidelity? What can you do to survive a broken relationship? Each of these questions is addressed in this message, which is the second one in a series about the life of Joseph.
We dream about a lot of things as we go through our lives: our careers; our spouse; our kids. God made our minds to dream, but rarely do our dreams completely intersect with reality. Dreams are broken along the way. But often, we can see how God was at work and how He was with us through those broken dreams. We can usually see that He had an even better plan for us than we ever dreamed. For the next several weeks, we will look at the life of Joseph. His life was filled with all kinds of heartaches and broken dreams, yet through it all, God was working. We begin today by looking at broken families.
In this last sermon of the series, Senior Minister Dan Toney looks at the story of the adulterous woman who faced stoning.
God's love for us is extravagant!
Many Christians disregard the Old Testament when looking for examples of God's grace. Senior Minister Dan Toney helps us see that God has placed pictures of His grace throughout the Bible, including the Old Testament.
Senior Minister Dan Toney kicks off a new series with a question: why do we need grace?
Over thousands of years, countless people have risked or given their lives to pass down the words of the Bible to future generations. Even if you don't believe what it says, it is undeniable that in all of history there has never been anything more produced, more controversial, and more shaping of culture than the Bible. So why don't we spend more time in scripture, devouring this precious gift that so many sacrificed for us to have? Youth Minister Jordan Andler preaches on this topic.
For the last sermon of 2017, Senior Minister Dan Toney looks ahead to the new year. We are again challenging people to consider a word or phrase for the New Year, based on the book "My One Word" by Mike Ashcraft.
Many of us are OK with reading the story of Christmas but not genuinely experiencing it or living it. Jesus came for so much more than a good story for us to remember fondly; He came to rewrite the trajectory of our story entirely. How do we experience everything Jesus came for? Youth Minister Jordan Andler looks at Isaiah 9:6 and what it has to tell us about Jesus.
Big things capture our attention, don't they? Something extravagant was expected for the birth of the Messiah, but that is not the way that God made it happen. Why? Senior Minister Dan Toney looks at how God's upside-down way of doing things "small" has made a huge impact on the world.
Jesus was not the kind of king that Israel thought they were going to have as Messiah. This message examines who the Jewish people anticipated and how Jesus challenged their thinking.
This final sermon from the series "God Can Use Everyone" introduces us to Priscilla and Aquila, a married couple who were instrumental in helping Paul with his ministry in the early church.
