It's Oscar weekend - or as Rob thinks of it, That Thing He Avoids Watching At All Costs. Nevertheless, we will give our thoughts on the races, the faves, the certain losers - and that's just for the Red Carpet. Nah, we'll talk Oscars. Like how those assault allegations are just *now* surfacing about Casey Affleck, when Nate Parker got blown out of the water before "Birth of a Nation" even opened. And we'll talk about the movies, too. Plus we'll discuss "The Great Wall" - yes, Todd saw it, living up to our motto,  We Watch It So You Don't Have To. We'll talk superhero flicks as always. We'll hype "Payback", a sadly underappreciated 70's crime flick that was actually made in 1999 and diss "Payback: Straight Up", the inferior director's cut. There's also a totally unpaid unsolicited plug for an awesome streaming service on Roku called Fandor, and Rob's inimitable "Yes, No, Maybe, and WHAAAT" segment. Shenanigans, I say!

The theme for the show is "Wait... What?"   Because if you don't say that at least three times during the show, I've failed.  Between Sweeden's non-existant terrorist attack and smuggling nuclear weapons into the country in bales of marijuana, this show gets really weird!  

In today's story:  Lt. Cooper Wright gets caught up in a web of religious intrigue when Christian protesters are believed to have attacked the creator of a Pagan reality television program.  This story is called, Bristlemoon.

In this loving and lovely Valentine's Day episode, Rob and Todd name their favorite romantic films - or as Rob insists, chick flicks.  We'll also discuss the twist at the end of *SPOILER ALERT* - "Split", and what it portends for M. Night Shyamalan's sequel. We'll review a couple of small films, namely "The Fundamentals of Caring and "Krisha", and a big splashy movie, "La La Land". Speaking of big and splashy, a new FX series debuts March 5th; it *should* be great, and it will definitely be big and splashy. As always, we'll talk superhero movies and make with the usual hijinks and shenanigans.

If more stupidity hadn't reared it's ugly head, I wouldn't be back so soon.  But a lack of humanity has attacked the country and it's my job to point it out.  Global warming be damned - it's not the heat, it's the stupidity!

Despite some introductional issues, this partly spectacular episode features movie news pertaining to some of the highest order of magnitude events to take place in 2017 like Star Wars, Cloak and Dagger and even answers the question of where is my HD DS9? All that and the proverbial bag of chips sold separately.

We'll also discuss the Oscar-nominated "Moonlight" and "Manchester By The Sea", along with a few of the other eight Best Picture Nominees. Speaking of Oscars, no #OscarsSoWhite hashtags this year. Are the six acting nominations deserved, or did the Academy somehow come up with six token nominees out of fear of another backlash? Spoiler alert - I've seen three of the performances so far, and the answer is a - well, you'll just have to listen, won't you? Of course, we'll have our usual fun bits - maybe even an alternative fact or two. Like Superman V Batman was great!
