Podcasts:
21st Sunday in Ordinary Time: "Jesus asks the disciples who the crowds think he is and then he asks them who they think he is. Who does Jesus say he is? Will that help us to know something about him and what he asks of us?"
Exaltation of the Cross. Why do we look to the cross as a means of healing and restoration? Why is the cross so central to Christian worship?"
28th Sunday in Ordinary Time: "The parable of the King and his wedding banquet shows the invitation that our God offers us, but it is also an invitation to invest in his Kingdom. Tithing is one way we do that but an important way. In order to understand this we need to move away from seeing our gifts as a tax or a donation and, rather, seeing it as an investment in God and his work.
29th Sunday in Ordinary Time: "You've all heard it numerous times that we are to 'Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's'. What is Jesus really getting at when he says that? What does it mean for us to really give to God what it is?"
Fifth Sunday of Easter. The challenge of the early church is also ours. How do we expand as a Church and allow the fullness of the Gospel to take root in our cultures without being confined by them. How do we as people come to the fullness of Jesus' invitation to see him as our way, truth, and life?"
All Souls' Day: "What is it that we hope for as Christians and how can we live according to our beliefs? All Souls' Day demonstrates that we are optimistic in what we know, think, and act according to Jesus' words and the Churches' teachings."
Feast of the Dedication of St. John Lateran Basilica: "How did the Jews experience the presence of God? What did Jesus do to expand that? How can we take advantage of what Jesus has done for us?"
33rd Week of Ordinary Time: "The parable of the talents shows how the master wants his servants to appreciate being included in the family business and showing some initiative."
Christ the King: "On the feast of Christ the King we can ask who should be sitting on the throne? We might know that it is Jesus' throne but we often place ourselves on that seat. How can we allow Jesus the Kingship he deserves?"
First Sunday of Advent: "Lessons in history point to the need for us to look higher for our happiness and fulfillment. Advent helps us to do it by turning to God, praying, and putting our life in action."
Second Sunday of Advent: "Isaiah and John the Baptist point to God's plan to come and offer his love and forgiveness. In order to receive it, we do need to repent and turn to him so we can be forgiven and restored. How do we do this as Catholics?"
Third Sunday of Advent: "How do we have joy and rejoice? Why do we rejoice in God? What signs and actions of God are worth rejoicing in?"
Feast of the Holy Family: "How the Holy Family relates to our families."
Fifth Sunday in Lent: "Now that we know that faith is the instrument of our salvation, how do we live it out? Today we discuss seven elements of an active and lived out faith."
Easter Sunday: "A reflection on why I believe in the resurrection and how I believe in the resurrection."
