Waiting for the Train: Episode 40 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:04

Just Acadia and Jenn again, because BNev forgot about life and fell asleep with her chocolate-drunk child. Personally I would like her to set 37 alarms next week because I really prefer her help yelling at Acadia. I can’t do this all on my own. Anyway, our topics this week include Nick Cannon believing that Planned Parenthood is eugenics, that mean white girl that lost all her chill at a Chicago area Michael’s (yes, the craft store), and one of Trump’s biggest fans announcing that there is no such thing as facts anymore.  Bonus: Here in full is the video of the woman at Michael’s: And, here is the video of her freaking out at a Peet’s Coffee and Tea earlier this year: Related Images: [See image gallery at superficialgallery.com]

Waiting for the Train: Episode 39 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 74:37

This week we are sadly without BNev, so it’s just Acadia and Jenn…. naturally Acadia would work in photos of giant scantily clad women. For more on that, listen to the podcast. Editor’s Note – Shut up, Jenn — Acadia News items: * Dylann Roof found fit to stand trial * “Young Han Solo” movie – a little more info * Jill Stein demanding a recount * Black Friday shootings * Giantess Thread (Don’t open unless you want to see giant ladies with not clothes) Related Images: [See image gallery at superficialgallery.com]

Waiting for the Train: Episode 38 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:08

We are just as sick of the election as you are, so we primarily talked about a bunch of completely unrelated things! Such as:  Snapchat Spectacles  Foam filling the streets in San Jose Khaleesi in the unnamed Han Solo movie A guy dissolving himself in acid in Yellowstone We also learn that BNev is completely unaware of pop culture, Acadia was sent to play in fire extinguisher foam as a child, and Jenn is unsympathetic toward dummies climbing in pools of acid. Listen, subscribe, peer pressure your friends!  Related Images: [See image gallery at superficialgallery.com]

Waiting for the Train Episode 37 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 60:50

Not gonna lie.  We recorded this on Wednesday night so it is all election talk.  Also, we find out B. Nev is a simpleton.  So it wasn’t all bad!  Well, It was for B. Nev, but she is a simpleton so she probably won’t even know.  Enjoy! Related Images: [See image gallery at superficialgallery.com]

Waiting for the Train: Episode 36 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 65:38

Tonight we talked about: * how men are too weak to handle taking birth control, because of “side effects” * Al Qaeda wants to attack us again, we don’t even know why * Harvard’s men’s soccer team gets the rest of their season cancelled for being sexist jerks * Everyone goes crazy about Starbucks cups and they’re too dumb to even know that they’re not the holiday cups * Teenage kid in UK doesn’t know how periods work My Halloween Costume was great! (Click here if you don’t know who it is.) Here is the compilation of terrible misspellings of pregnant on Yahoo answers: Acadia’s About Me page And I made an About Me page too, he’s not better than me. Ha ha ha.  Waiting for the Train: Episode 35 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:18

This week we talk about: * The art exhibit showing Yoko Ono might have a sense of humor, featuring a reference to an old Simpsons episode * The irony of sending a kid home from school with a permission slip to read Fahrenheit 451 * Twitter killing off Vine and additionally, sucking at life * The horrible juxtaposition of the Bundy ranchers getting acquitted of doing a thing everyone saw them doing, while police beat peaceful Native Americans at Sacred Stone Camp Related – if you are horrified by what is going on in North Dakota and you’d like a concrete way to help, see the following links: 10 Things You Can Do to Help the Native Americans protesting the DAPL Supply List for Sacred Stone Camp Also, the UN is now observing what’s going on there. And here is a great video about what the water protectors are doing and why. Related Images: [See image gallery at superficialgallery.com]

Waiting for the Train: Episode 34 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 76:31

Welcome to the NO POLITICS OMG WE ARE SICK OF IT episode of Waiting for the Train.  We talk about B. Nev’s rich and fulfilling Tinder life.  You can even see her profile above! * Nintendo Switch * Corn is the best crop and wheat is the worst I also spent all weekend nerding out and learning stuff about audio engineering.  So if this episode sounds way better then I will be taking all the credit thank you very much.  And if it doesn’t then it is Cider’s fault.  Waiting for the Train Episode 33 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 73:37

Well as sad as it is, we still had to talk about Trump this week, because after his "grab her by the p***y" comment rant from 2005 which was unearthed last week, he is now claiming that the entire election is "rigged" against him and "a conspiracy". Of note, the guy who thinks we should put him in charge of things like nuclear weapons and claims he has a "great temperament" is tweeting about how he doesn't like SNL's portrayal of him by Alec Baldwin. Seems level-headed. On that note, here's an upsetting photo from 2007: The news has been 90% about the election, but we also discussed Bob Dylan winning the Nobel Prize for literature for his song lyrics, and Ruth Bader Ginsberg getting blowback about criticizing Colin Kaepernick's refusal to stand for the national anthem (you might be interested in checking out episode 26 as a refresher on this discussion as it's the last time we spent a good amount of time on it, I believe.) Other items discussed... Ben Carson has an inordinate amount of portraits of himself in his home and it's super weird. BNev and I love Bang Up Betty's stuff a lot. We're going to go to NY Comic Con next year and sell awesome stuff and be awesome and Acadia is going to not suck this time about publicizing our site and podcasts to the attendees. Also! Don't forget to check out our other podcast, Strangeful Things, for spoopy fun, this month especially, as Halloween is kind of a big deal around here.

Waiting for the Train Episode 32 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 80:10

I am sure it is not much of a surprise that there is some politics in this week's episode.  It's not like we can ignore it, right?  Well, I guess we could, now that I think about it.  But then again supposedly this is THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION OF ALL TIME! So I suppose we should pay attention.  But the most important thing that happened this week was me going to New York Comic Con which I am sure you have seen posts about.  So get ready for! * Remember the Vice Presidential Debate?  Jenn did! * Comic Con! * Trump is coming for your kitties.  We actually recorded the night of the debate so we couldn't talk about it but who cares, really? * Kim Kardashian is a big faker (maybe). Not only that but we had good week / bad week and Britt had a good idea!  I mean, it was way at the end and it was pretty much an accident but still!  Waiting For The Train: Episode 31 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 79:45

You better listen to the show this week or Acadia might pick a fight with you like he did with some jerk on the train this week.  And that's just to start the show.  Here we go!  Topics include: * Prison Strike * Trump Sniffing * California "Big One" Enjoy, folks!  Waiting for the Train Episode 30 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:22:04

So I was in Denver this past week and had to record from a hotel but it was the other two hammer heads who have recording problems.  That said, since the country is in turmoil we find the time to talk about that AND a bunch of nonsense.  And it is the 30th show, which sounds like a big anniversary but since it is weekly it is pretty much non-consequential. So here's to you, riot-filled America!  Maybe next week we can record from a bunker in an undisclosed location.  Or I will, anyway.  B. Nev and Jenn are on their own. Extra note from Jenn: Please note that all audio problems were Acadia's fault for being on crappy hotel Wifi, and Sheraton Hotels, you can #DIAF2016 for making people pay for your crappy wifi. Here are things we promised to post in the notes: Trashy foods made fancy on Instagram Terence Crutcher videos released Richard Sherman's press conference Brad Pitt accused of child abuse And here are some of my diamond-collar-wearing cats: Related Images: [See image gallery at superficialgallery.com]

Waiting for the Train: Episode 29 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 65:43

This week BNev and I did the show without Acadia. I know, right? What even. Topics include: * Police officer fired for NOT shooting a guy * Creepy incest in North Carolina (or is it a trick?) * Trump's hotel tour failure Plus! There may be a Charlotte McKinney update that could explain Acadia's mysterious absence. Tune in to find out! Also, I talk a little about my adventures in Colorado last week, and BNev tells the story of her first concert at Red Rocks circa 1996. Related Images: [See image gallery at superficialgallery.com]

Waiting for the Train: Episode 28 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 86:20

We learn a lot about Britt this week.  A lot.  More than you ever thought you would know.  We probe pretty deep.  And then, of course, are the topics: * DAPL * Matt Lauer / Donald Trump * Wells Fargo * Guy who'll never date a feminist * Article about Fox/Ailes Futurama: Don't Date Robots Related Images: [See image gallery at superficialgallery.com]

Waiting for the Train: Episode 27 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 84:51

This week's topics: Anthony Weiner The VMAs ... here is Nicki Minaj, because we discussed her amazing dress: ... but really our discussion was mostly about Alicia Keys and whether people need to calm down about her not wearing makeup: Jaelin and Briana White - those two crazy kids that couldn't handle Chicago for 24 hours Gene Wilder died... and I made a meme about the Whites. You're welcome. The How to Talk to Women with Headphones guy I mean.... there are so many dozens of problems just with the headlines and opening sentences of these screenshots from his site that I could spend multiple posts just discussing all the ways he is wrong and terrible. If you are wondering why I included so many screenshots, it's because I'm still annoyed at how badly Acadia was listening to me. I'm sure he was too busy staring at photos of Charlotte McKinney to listen to anything I had to say. Maybe photos will make it simpler for him. And specifically for you, Acadia, I present the following: I also think we should start keeping a tally of how many times in a given episode I shout at Acadia that he's wrong. It would be a fun statistic to track. Maybe I'll make a chart. Related: Up is down and it's a crazy topsy-turvy world, or so Acadia claims. Listen in to learn why! Also, I edited this episode, and we had some technical difficulties, so give us feedback on what you think! We're still working on our audio chops. We're basically just recording a phone call so it's not ideal. I accidentally had to buy software midway through the podcast (because I was using a trial, apparently) to keep it from killing the audio and ruining the show - so you're welcome! Other related items: * Obama reacts to Colin Kaepernick's protest * Though some people burned Kaepernick's jersey, sales of it have surged * People have made a "walking tour" to mimic the Whites' 24 hour stay in Chicago * Charlotte McKinney in her ill-fitting brown leather dress Here is the drawing I made of Acadia on my phone when he was threatening to kill me: Here is something that surprises me 0% - Jenny McCarthy, halfwit of Hollywood, telling Dan Bacon the douche-canoe that he's doing a great thing: And here is your moment of zen - Jaelin and Briana reacting to "all the press" from the Chicago one day stay: Related Images: [See image gallery at superficialgallery.com]

Waiting for the Train Episode 26 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 58:03

So this week our main topics of discussion were idiots in France disrobing women on the beach; how despite protests to the contrary, Trump is actually doing badly in the polls - no, really; a bro on the internet tries to police a woman's "tone" by alerting her boyfriend; and the internet loses its shit because Gabby Douglas doesn't put her hand over her heart during the national anthem. Now I have an update about the hand over your heart thing, because I just looked it up, and apparently we are all supposed to do it, which I have never heard in my life, and which nobody else I know seems to be aware of either. And, for the record, the original point stands that plenty of other athletes didn't do it, but the world only got mad at Gabby because she's a black girl. Yay, America. Also, I'm not about to start. Come at me, bro. I don't even recite the pledge. What are you gonna do about it? Other related items that came up during our discussion. * This is about the movie with Jeffrey Dean Morgan in it * Useless photo and "journalism" featured in Acadia's Charlotte McKinney Minute This is the photo where Acadia hates Charlotte McKinney's shoes: BNev bought this during our podcast: And I sent this photo to Acadia also during the podcast: And that pretty much rounds it out. Stay tuned for our exciting amazing new podcast, premiering next week, for the 10 year anniversary of the site! Related Images: [See image gallery at superficialgallery.com]
