Aside from the melodrama and Amish romance novel comparisons -or maybe because of all that- we like this one! One of our favorite character arcs of the entire Deep Space Nine series - maybe in all of Star Trek- gets going in the B plot. Nog wants to join Starfleet! Why? Because joining Starfleet is all about dad issues. What leaves a humanoid to take another specie's cultural values? But, ok, what about Kira getting stuck in a claustrophobic crystal formation?
