Welcome back to the Hero Heads Podcast. I am going to stream everything I possibly can as time allows! Sometimes people base what they watch or see on a critics review, which is a horrible idea.
The 2020 Film Gauge Awards are accolades bestowed by the five voices from this podcast feed. The FGA, recognizing excellence in both American and international films that have either spent most of their budget on making us believe it was going to be a good movie, or just over casting a movie to try to get the most bang for the buck. Which Christmas Movie is the best? Well that is completely up for debate, some people will tell you one thing and others tell you another. Not many people can agree of their favorite holiday films. Some people don't even recognize Gremlins and Die Hard as Christmas Movies! They totally are. I don't care what Bruce Willis says... I do... But in this case I do not.
The Muppet Christmas Carol is a 1992 Christmas musical comedy directed by Brian Henson (in his feature directorial debut) from a screenplay by Jerry Juhl. Adapted from the 1843 novella A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, it stars Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge.
The Muppets perform the classic Dickens holiday tale, with Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine). Other Muppets -- Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear and Sam the Eagle -- weave in and out of the story, while Scrooge receives visits from spirits of three Christmases -- past, present and future. They show him the error of his self-serving ways, but the miserable old man seems to be past any hope of redemption and happiness.
The Santa Clause is a 1994 American Christmas comedy-drama film written by Leo Benvenuti and Steve Rudnick, and directed by John Pasquin. The first film in the Santa Clause film series, it stars Tim Allen as Scott Calvin, an ordinary man who accidentally causes the death of Santa Claus (played by Tim Allen).
