This week we return to the planet Mars and discover the latest in rover and satellite imagery and their implications. Why are we not learning about these massive megalithic structures from NASA?  George J. Haas is founder and premier investigator of The Cydonia Institute which was established in 1991. He is a member of the Pre-Columbian Society of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Haas is also an artist, art instructor, writer, and curator. He became interested in the "Face on Mars" after reading a book on the subject by Randolfo Rafael Pozos in 1991. James Churchward's research into the subject spanned several decades, starting from his time in India where he was taught to read the ancient Naacal tablets, a repository of wisdom from a time before our own, and his recognition that the Naacal Brotherhood also composed the tablets William Niven discovered, places their ancient wisdom and knowledge in our laps and offers the opportunity to impart the same to the reader.

All ancient cultures link humanity’s origins to the heavens. The Egyptians, for example, were adamant that their ancestors came from the stars of Orion and Sirius. In his book, If DNA is Software, Who Wrote The Code? — The Profound Significance of Life’s Programming Language, Bunzel explains that software (or computer code) has identical properties to DNA (and may be a stark example of inadvertent biomimicry). In the history of archaeological theory the term migrationism was opposed to the term diffusionism (or "immobilism") as a means of distinguishing two approaches to explaining the spread of prehistoric archaeological cultures and innovations in artefact. Migrationism explains cultural change in terms of human migration, while diffusionism relies on explanations based on trans-cultural diffusion of ideas rather than populations (pots, not people). Western archaeology the first half of the 20th century relied on the assumption of migration and invasion as driving cultural change. This was criticized by the processualist in the 1960s and 1970s, leading to a new mainstream which rejected "migrationism" as outdated. Since the 1990s, there has been renewed interest in "migrationist" scenarios, as archaeologists attempted the archaeological reflexes of migrations known to have occurred historically. Still the debate rages on.
