The timing of the #Ferguson decision with the week of Thanksgiving, leaves David and Mark with some difficult questions. They also take a look at the consumer-fest Thanksgiving has become. Even with the more serious tone of this episode, they still manage to celebrate life and have a little fun.

David and Mark get their game on! Well, they talk about getting their video game on. More importantly, they take a look at the benefits of gaming and what it has to offer the Church. Like so many other things, gaming does have a darker side. So the guys also give consideration to some of their struggles with gaming culture. 

Two hashtags were really hot this week: #tfios and #oitnb. Both of them provide fertile ground for discussions Christians need to be having and even give cause to inspire us towards action. Listen in on this surprisingly hopeful discussion about death and incarceration as we consider the intersection of these pop-culture phenomenon and our faith. It's not that we hate the media or that we hate guns. We just hate their misuse and abuse. And that's pretty much what we see with the Fourth Estate these days, so much so that citizens tend to find better news from comedians like John Oliver, Stephen Colbert, and John Stewart. And the Second Amendment abuse is even worse. We talk about how misshapen that narrative has become at the hands of the NRA and the media and how it enables a culture of mass shootings and killing sprees.

Mark and David head off into the wild in this episode. They start getting geared up for this year's Wild Goose Festival where they and thousands of other progressive Christians will be spending some time in the great outdoors. (Really, you should some joins us! We'll be recording live shows several times while we are there)! And, they take a look at the GOP gone wild in North Carolina and how the Rev. David and Mark address the portrayal of women in mass media and consider how misogynistic perspectives contributed not only to the UCSB mass-muder this past week but to constant negative, abusive and domineering directed toward women on a daily bases. Yeah, two guys talking about misogyny -- kind of a commentary on itself, isn't it? Also, this week we ask you to do something a little different for the hashtag game, but it will mean so much more than any game we could have played.

Mark and David take a look at the kiss heard around the world and the unexpectedly progressive decision from the SCOTUS that will make way for Satanic prayer (among others) at state and federal gatherings. Okay, they probably didn't do it for that reason, but that's what they've done. We also look at a common thread that runs through both of these issues: a dominate group wanting rights that they are not willing to extend to other groups. And, as always, there is a great new hashtag game!
