Objectively Speaking

In this episode Andrew Bernstein and I will review two books. I'll review "Advice for a Young Investigator" by Santiago Ramon y Cajal, and Andy will review the work of Will Durant "The Story of Civilization". Andy and I will use to requirements as a critiria for the books we review, i.e., the books must be in print and should offer value to the reader.   

In this episode of "Objectively Speaking" Andrew Bernstein and I will discuss the role of values in man's psychology. What gives rise to the selection of man's values? We'll survey men's set of values as adopted and manifested through history at different times of human development. We'll explore the relatioinship between ideas and emotions and we'll focus on the motivation that drives men's action in life. Looking forward to a stimulating discussion. Both Communism and National-Socialism have inspidred thousands of people to commit great atrocities throughout history. There are millions of people killed by Soviet Aparatchics and Nazis. Today, the West approprietly condemns the Nazis, but has little if nothing to say about the Communists, and when the western intellectual have to say something it comes out as condonation. We're steadily heading toward a culture where the self is abdicated and the collective is worshiped. What is the connection between neuroplasticity and economics? In this episode I'll explore the discoveries in brain plasticity as related to human development and injury. Seperately I'll focus on the timeless classic Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt and make the connection between principles of neuroscience with principles of economics. Dr. Gregory Salmieri joins Andrew Bernstein and Arshak Benlian on "Objectively Speaking" to discuss the literary brilliance, moral and philosophic themes of the most important book in man's history - Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.  "Gregory Salmieri received his Ph.
