Unity is supposed to be one of the defining characteristic of the church. The church is supposed to be a place where people from all walks of life "" rich or poor, successful or down-and-outers "" can come together and have unity and love for one another. Sadly, that rarely seems to be the reality. Sometimes, churches can come across as judgmental, fractured and backstabbing. What's the problem and how do we become unified?

Attacks will come in this life. We will have all sorts of difficulties. Matter of fact, it often feels like the moment we decide to stand up and fight for what is right the attacks just begin to pile up. How can we defend ourselves? How can we have victory? What does God say about these things?

We are at war. This is obvious. We might not be able to see the battle, but the spiritual world is real and active. We see it in the heinous crimes committed throughout the ages, the oppression that lurks behind every dark corner and the addictions and strongholds evident in life. What can we do to fight back?

What was Jesus goal? Did he want as many people as possible to check off "Christian" on the census or was he after something more? After all, the title of "Christian" doesn't seem to mean a whole lot. We live in a "Christian" nation, but we produce the majority of the world's pornography. There seems to be a massive disconnect between the label that we slap on our chest and the situation and reality in our hearts.

Motivation plays in important role in our lives. Good motivation will yield long-lasting results. Poor motivation, on the other hand, may yield short-lived ineffective results. What does this mean when it is applied to the mission of the Church? What is the mission of the Church? What is our motivation? What are we supposed to be doing and why?

According to our culture, education, and socioeconomic climate, we are entitled to all sorts of things. This could be anything from a certain job or a dream home to a prosperous life and a happy marriage. What does God say, though? What are we "due"? What does God owe you?
