podcast – The Shy Kids
Summary: The Shy Kids are two nerdy awkward man-children that meet once a week in a garage full of spiders that may or may not be poisonous to talk about nerdy awkward stuff that may or may not be interesting. Introducing: Doc Weatley as a videogaming Anglophile with a knowledge of media trivia bordering on autism. And, Cory Cooke, as an only child, who spent most of his developmental years unsuccessfully teaching himself magic and the bass guitar, actually managed to impregnate a woman once.

Who would be on your personal Mount Rushmore? The boys gush about the four people that made each of them into the emotionally underdeveloped and intellectually disfigured people they are today. Find out who made Dean dark, Doc rock, and Cory talk so much.
Can you get mad at someone for being nice? The boys air their petty annoyances with well-meaning yet obnoxious coworkers, including a morning person that goes postal, while Cory calls a pox on curing cancer.
The boys reduce their highly complex collection of beliefs and behavior nuances to a four-letter label by taking the Meyers-Briggs personality test. Also, which one of the Shy Kids is a psychopath? The answer may not surprise you in the least.
Have you ever been bothered by something everyone else likes? The boys respond to some emails and tackle the pressing issues of paparazzi, African aliens, hands-on parenting, hands-should-be-off parenting, and Italians.
Special guest and fetish model Cali Logan (@MsCaliLogan) joins the kids today as they discuss various fetishes and times when their exes attempted to change something about them. Cory speaks of his self-servicing sabbatical, Doc pretends to like the Big Bang Theory for the sake of Big Bang practice, and Dean tells why his relationship went up in literal and figurative flames.
Before Nerdagories, before topics, and before audio fidelity, there was the pilot episode of the Shy Kids that until now has never been heard. Listen to find out why.
Have you ever been caught in a situation that wasn't what it looked like? After Doc's babysitting gig turns into a honeymoon, Cory gets caught in a post-coital car chase, and Dean gets dry skin watching Wild On, fueling a lengthy roundtable on masturbation.
In a more intellectual episode, the boys employ their high school history education to ask the important questions: Were cave paintings ancient fan-fiction? Who was King Bronze and why did he get his own Age? What if the pyramids were built by lizards? Will future anthropologists be able to catch up with the Kardashians?
Have you ever lost your temper growing up? The boys get in touch with their anger as Dean attacks a bully, Doc experiences both sides of mistaken identity, and Cory tells a Montesstory of our education system.
Have you ever written fan-fiction? The boys put on their writer's caps (and the rest of their fur suits) to pen some fan fiction of their favorite characters. Polyjuice potion, incest, banking conspiracies, and chipmunk journalism feature in this fic fest.
If you had three wishes, what would they be? The boys give their magic lamps a rub, and like Robin Williams make a bunch of annoying modern-day references and overstay their welcome. World peace and a cure for cancer are notably absent.
Special guest Lola Binkerd, from the awesome web series "Sweethearts of the Galaxy", joins Cory and Dean today as they attempt to discuss the desperation of trying to hold onto their youth. Meanwhile, Doc decides to play hookie because he's way too occupied with spraying pee out of his butt.
Dean gets taken down by a bowl of Baja Not-so-Fresh, and Doc uses his previously unknown spirit medium powers to channel Dean into the studio, making himself sick in the process.
Have you ever had awkward moments with your family? Cory's caught whacking his yakko (and dot), Dean keeps up on his shots despite the risk of autism, and Doc desperately resists incestuous insistence. Try saying that (and doing that) five times fast!
Have you ever wanted to recast a classic movie? Tired of how Hollywood has run out of ideas, the boys take three beloved movie franchises and recast them with modern actors. Get your caps lock ready while they ruin Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, and Star Wars (again).
