We have been practicing alternative methods of living, investing, and growing food for 7 years. The show covers community building projects we're working on, as well as practical advice for growing your own community of friends and suburban farmers. The morning rant series is sure to rub you the wrong way, and maybe even leave you inspired. Finally, the overall vision for the podcast, is to give the audio audience a window into our project of building a more resilient and whole life.

Today I run through an abridged version of our story. Amy and I have been evolving in the current direction for roughly 7 years. You're not getting anything romantic here, that's personal! Only a glimpse at the basic evolution of our ideas and why we do what we do, with an impromptu rant thrown-in about what I think the next generation of regional conferences should look like.
In this episode I deliver a high-level introduction to our suburban permaculture homestead, along with a very brief overview of the topics covered by this podcast. Like any "best laid plans" there is no doubt I will stray from the white-picket boundaries of my perfect vision. However, as we begin this adventure, the vision is to provide informative content and educational resources for anyone learning or practicing permaculture on a suburban lot.
