CHIRP’s Alli Klein met with Chicago’s own Velcro Lewis Group at their West Loop studio, Frogg Mountain, to discuss their new record Open The Sky, producing it themselves (a difficult task for a legally blind frontman), inspiring moments from visiting the Stax museum, their goals, and cassette tapes. Velcro Lewis Group's Holiday Freakout is happening on December 13th at the Liar's Club.

Before their show at Lincoln Hall, Kai Campos and Dominic Maker (Mount Kimbie) sat down with CHIRP's Dylan Peterson. Dylan asked the duo about trailblazing the post-dubstep genre, and they talked about trying to make their sophmore release both challenging and accessible, so listeners can still dance to melancholy beats.

CHIRP's Shelby Hagstrom caught up with Brendan, Sam, and Neil of The Ivorys at the CHIRP studio.
