What's Up Hong Kong?

This week What's Up Hong Kong is graced by the presence of producer, director, performer and all around talent Wendy Herbert. She'll give us insight into what it takes to put together a performance in Hong Kong and highlight some issues with broadcasting in the city. She and Travis will also explore the events that are taking place in HK this week.

Garron Chiu joins the show this week to help Travis go through the events taking place in Hong Kong this week. Garron also defends his tweets and the guys go 'Google Diving' to ask each other questions about race.

What's Up Hong Kong? is fortunate to have Meaghan McGurgan join the show this week to talk about theater in Hong Kong and her website HKELD (Hong Kong English Language Drama). She will give us insight into what goes on behind the scenes of your favorite local performances and join us as we explore the events coming up in the city this week.

This week writer and publisher Marshall Moore of Signal 8 Press and Typhoon Media joins the show to talk about his new book, Bitter Orange, as well writing and publishing fiction in Hong Kong. Of course, he and Travis will also be talking about the events coming up in HK this week too.

Stand-up comedian Tim Borch Nielsen joins What's Up Hong Kong? this week to bring the funny and talk about what he'll miss most about HK, since he is returning to Denmark. We'll also delve into the upcoming activities this week that Tim won't be able to enjoy.

Music is the topic this week as Edwin Lo of creative music consultants Cuetone and online music magazine Bitetone joins the show. He'll tell us all about the state of indie rock in Hong Kong and, of course, we'll talk about some great events that are coming up this week.

This week Harrison Kelly of Flatcap Asia joins Travis to talk about arts, literature and public relations in Hong Kong. They also discuss recent news and some events that are coming up in the city this week.

Comedian Sam Moorhouse stops by the show to talk about the events and activites coming up in Hong Kong this week and play some games with us. Also, we introduce the new 'Hong Kong Island Disks' to you lovely listeners via Sam's own 'Whose House? Moorhouse!' segment.

We've got an adventurous show this week as Travis hits the streets to interview author, photographer and editor of the new anthology Unsavory Elements, Tom Carter, as well as another contributor to the book, Bruce Humes.
