  In this episode, we discuss what is Permaculture and how it can be put into use. The Permaculture  Institute defines permaculture as: “An ecological design system for sustainability in all aspects of human endeavor. It teaches us how to design natural homes and abundant food production systems, regenerate degraded landscapes and ecosystems, develop ethical economies and communities, and much more. As an ecological design system, permaculture focuses on the interconnections between things more than individual parts.” 

In this episode, we share the music of TZM member, Kent Brooks, who resides in Oakland, Californian. Kent has produced a collection so songs inspired by the movement, and we will talk about his production process and what has drawn him to the movement. In this episode will discuss the documentary Money As Debt, and why it's important that everyone watch it. We'll talk about how a debt-based economy wastes resources and creates social and economic stratification. And we'll explain why a resource-based economy could be a viable alternative to the current monetary system that is inconsistent with and detrimental to the current transition to a technological and automation means of production. 

In this episode we discuss the social and emotional costs of economic inequality throughout the world's richest countries. We examine how the current monetary system actually erodes human progress, and how moving toward a resource-based economy will change and improve the well being of everyone on the planet.

In this ongoing series, we’ll continue our discussion with TZM Sac/Davis member Patrick Clark, examining the question of whether or not the dollar will survive as we know it today.  In our first episode, we discussed the likelihood of the dollar either collapsing or hyper-inflating, and how either outcome could hurt the everyday person.  In this second episode, we’ll consider the issue of how the upcoming debt ceiling discussions relate to the question of whether or not the dollar will survive.

It can be done because of the advances in technology, the effective use of abundant resources, and the establishment of a resource-based economy. Listen to the show and share in the vision. 

In this show we will discuss and explore what it takes to build a social, economic, cultural, and political movement. We will share thoughts about the differences between a movement and an organization and what lessons and challenges we have learned so for as members of the Zeitgeist Movement.  

This will be a special hour long show about the local and national Occupy Movement.  Members of TZMSacDavis participated very directly in the Occupy Sacramento movement, and we will share our experiences and lessons learned. We will also talk about how the movement got started locally, how it progressed, and why we think the movement was/is important.  We invite other Occupy participants to call in with their feedback and experiences, and for others to post questions in the BlogTalkTalk chat. 

This show will be an interview with Patrick Clark, a member of TZMSacDavis who has been doing a great deal of reading on the topic of potential dollar collapse.  He’ll help us understand both the current state of our economy and currency, and why they make the need for an RBE all the more clear.  He’ll also give us some tips on how we might survive the worsening economic prospects, until if and when we get to an RBE.    We invite you take a listen and call in with your questions during the live broadcast. We will discuss Nonviolent Communication and how it can help you communicate in positive ways about controversial issues related to a resource-based economy.
