We have no guest, but we are still full of show as Jeff Schroeder and I discuss our favorite Christmas songs, my experience at The Voice and a whole lot of nothing.
The New York Times has declared her a "Mega Diva" and today we are mega excited to welcome singer, actress and Broadway legend, Jenifer Lewis. We talk about her beginnings in church, auditioning for Bette Midler, wearing basketball sized breasts in Beaches, the importance of never giving up and how she has learned not to just cope, but LIVE with bi-polar disorder. Co-hosting is Brendan Bradley.
And we are back! We took off a few days for Thanksgiving, but we are back to talk about it! Jeff and I share our shenanigans from the holiday including a Keaton Simons concert, dinner at Lance Bass's and rabbit and rattlesnake sausages! Then Jordan Lloyd calls in to talk about her recent trip to Australia with Jeff. And finally, we kick off the Christmas season with a live performance by the Tinseltone Carolers! They're available for your big holiday party, but more importantly, they are here for you today!
Today we give thanks for you, or listeners as we broadcast our last show of November with author Joe Anderson, who stops by to talk about his new book, Face The Music. It's a fictionaly account of the turbulent life of a rockstar based on Joe's bird's eye view of the music industry. In addition to Joe, we deliver chaos, laughter and a trivia game for the ages. Pour yourself a glass of beer (here's hoping it doesn't taste like an ash tray), it will help make the show more understandable! Co-hosting today is Brendan Bradley and Brandon Alexander III. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We had so much show to get through this morning that we supersized it and went live 15 minutes early! We begin with Jeff Schroeder sharing his recent adventures in Australia with Jordan Lloyd. Then we are joined by Jeremy Brandt, the host of Nat Geo Wild's Jobs That Bite! Jeff and I loved the show and were at no shortage of questions after watching Jeremy dissect a seal and castrate a pig! It sounds graphic, but it's actually a pretty fascinating experience everyone should see! Then actor Clive Hawkins joins us to talk about his new sci-fi thriller Welcome To Forever and the etiquette of speaking japanese in a restaurant.
Things get caliente this morning as we are joined by the cast of the hilarious web series, Stallions de Amor! The series is an outlandish spin on the mexican telenova focusing on the murder of the Stallion matriarch, Merlinda played by the always funny Drew Droege. Series creator Efrain Schunior is joined by Stallion twins, Chris Farah and Pete Zias who bring sibling loathing to a new low on the series! Co-hosting is Brendan Bradley.
Everytime I think we had our best Music Monday performance, along comes another Monday! Today we have singer songwriter Matt Scannell, lead singer of Vertical Horizon in singing songs from their new album Echoes From The Underground as well as their worldwide hit Everything You Want! In addition to being crazy talented, he's an incredibly nice guy! Co-hosting duties today fall on actress Maitland Ward as we recall our night at The Grove for the annual tree lighting.
On today's show we are getting in the holiday spirit with Chef Stuart O'Keeffe who prepares easy and delicious appetizers that will impress your guests or even your hosts if you bring them to your next holiday party. He also demonstrates how easy opening up a pomegranate can be, which comes in handy for the pomegranate cocktails he prepares. We don't get too drunk today, but we certainly had fun! Co-hosting is Brendan Bradley.
To think I almost cancelled doing a show this morning! Sometimes you should always follow your instinct, but I wanted to work towards my 10,000 hours! Joining us late and for a jam packed session of snark is Big Brother All Star, James Rhine. Rand Holdren returns as co-host and the chatroom does their best to get his shirt off.
After a tardy appearance a few weeks ago, Matt Moy from CBS's 2 Broke Girls makes good on his promise to come back and this time he brought cupcakes! He's here talking about his hit TV show and his new animated series Steven Universe. Co-host Brendan Bradley also hosts a not meant to be hilarious trivia game about Los Angeles traffic.
Another stellar performance this morning with our Music Mondays Live From The Baub Show series. This week indie artists The Young Romans stop by the studio to perform songs from their EP "Yesterday Night", a haunting cover of the Queen and David Bowie classic, "Under Pressure" and "Where You Go", which is available on their latest LP, "Tiger Child" and was written for the film, "Salmon Fishing In The Yemen" starring Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt. When you are listening, it sounds like the record, but I promise you, I sat in the room and they really are that good live! Co-hosting is returning guest Brandon Alexander III talking about his hilarious new film "First Period" and his web series, "Raptor Raptor" and a discussion of feeling like a fraud when someone compliments your work. So much show in such little time!
So much show! First up, Big Brother alumni and Bauble Brigade favorite, Jordan Lloyd calls in to talk about her upcoming trip to Australia and how she has (not) prepared for it! Then JoAnna Garcia-Swisher calls in to talk about her current role as Ariel on the hit ABC show, Once Upon A Time and looks back on her years as Cheyanne on the hit show Reba! Bauble Colleen calls in to give her two cents on the current season of Survivor and Ronnie Kroell and Elliott London call in from their walk across the country to talk about Friend Movement and why they have been walking from Chicago to New York for the last 30 days (I will give you a hint, it has to do with putting an end to bullying). All of this and more with my co-host Brendan Bradley!
You loved her on Entourage and today my dear friend Emanuelle Chriqui drops by to talk about her new web series Cleaners, now streaming on crackle.com. Dave Dini calls in for a dose of Dini wisdom and the importance of being specific with goals to get what you want! Co-hosting is Jeff Schroeder
She is a beloved spiritual teacher, thought leader and internationally acclaimed author of bestselling titles like "A Return to Love" “A Course In Weight Loss” “The Law of Divine Compensation” and "Healing the Soul of America" just to name a few. It is because of a seminar of hers I attended a few years ago that I wake up every morning to host this show and reach a few thousand people with my voice because she taught me about the Garden of Abundance. Just a few Sundays ago, she announced her run for the United States Congress, where She'll be running for the U.S. House of Representatives in California's 33rd District, a seat currently held by 74-year old Democrat Henry Waxman and after 38 years, one of the longest standing members of Congress. It is a privilege and a dream realized to say, please welcome Marianne Williamson to The Baub Show. Co-hosting is Brendan Bradley.
On today's Music Monday's Live From The Baub Show we have singer Michael Castro with a song for summer and a song for getting cozy by the fireplace before he shares his awesome cover of Blackstreet's No Diggity! We also have comedian Greg Walloch in to talk about his monthly gig at The Standard in Hollywood called Eat Your Words! Co-hosting today is sketch comedy artist Tye Edwards.
