It’s Mitch’s birthday, and as a gift, CoroCoro scans were leaked! Tune in as Mitch, Jack, and Simone talk about the new Pokémon X and Y news, along with recaps for the banned episode 1×35 “The Legend of Dratini” and 1×36 “The Bridge Bike Gang.” -One of the new gym leaders remind us of Spiderman’s Doc Ock. -The legendaries’ types are unveiled, with one of them being a pure Fairy type, thus giving more credence to the new type. -The evil team for Gen. VI is Team Flame, which reminds us a bit of Gen. III’s Team Magma. -One of the new Pokémon is based off of cotton candy. Jack is not pleased. -It was actually refreshing to watch an episode with English subs and Japanese dubs. -We can see why “The Legend of Dratini” was banned. See: pointing guns at the heads of children. -Dratini isn’t a legendary Pokémon, no matter how much Oak of Sasha want it to be. -Wait… Pokémon actually continued on a storyline with Misty’s bike? What is this sorcery?! -Team Rocket’s back story is touched upon in “The Bridge Bike Gang.” What’s so cool about unicycles, anyways? -Poké fun includes: A Spiritbomb highlight, trivia about Four Island’s music in the games, and Poké Memories of Tauros and Cloyster. -News includes special edition Pokémon X and Y 3DS and the airing of Movie 16 on July 16. -Mitch didn’t notice until after they were done recording that they recorded episode 21 of Poké Chat on his 21st birthday. Weird how life works out like that, huh?

Recaps for episodes 1×33 “The Flame Pokémon-athon” and 1×34 “The Kangaskhan Kid.” -Growlithe arrives on the scene, acting much like Bublasaur did when we first met it. -What are the properties of the fire on Ponyta? -Lara’s story was refreshing, because she was a good person who deserved to have good things happen to her. -Ponyta = Hippogriffs -The properties of what actually happens during an evolution are revealed during Ponyta’s evolution. -Tommy’s parents = the worst parents ever (AKA, Steve Irwin). -This “raised by a den of wolves” story is somewhat reminiscent of the movie 'Mama.' -Poké Fun: Shedinja highlight, a unlicensed iTunes app that lets you create Pokémon, Poké Memories for Ponyta and Kangaskhan, and more banned episode trivia. -News: Announcement of the X/Y anime series, an August X/Y demo event in Tokyo, the closure of B/W B2/W2′s wifi capabilities, and a new wave of toys at Japanese McDonald’s. -The hosts discuss when it’s okay to get rid of wifi gameplay for a series, and why B2/W2 were on the DS as opposed to the 3DS.

E3 2013 resulted in a TON of Pokémon X and Y news for the Poké Chatters to discuss! Join them for their breaking news episode! We delve right into the biggest news released, including: -The pre-E3 2013 show/Nintendo Direct news, which gave us a taste of what was to come during the rest of the E3 press conference. -The at least TEN new Pokémon we were introduced! -The brand new type “Fairy” that Sylveon will be! -The new types of battling, called Sky Battles and Herd Battles. -The E3 2013 conference, which was reported on mainly in tweets. -The gen. VI improvements, such as the ability to change music per specific battle, an updated system for the creatures’ cries, a new riding Pokémon, the accessibility to many languages in every country’s game, and the increased visibility of EVs and IVs in-game. -Will we even take advantage of the new multiplayer features? -The Pokémon X and Y games release worldwide on October 12, 2013! But when exactly will it release in Australia? Jack hopes it releases on the 11th there, so that it comes out on his birthday! -We wrap up the show by discussing the CoroCoro magazine scans that leaked (right on schedule). A new gym leader, along with 4 new Pokémon are revealed in these scans!

The Poké Chatters get frisky in a very Rule 34y episode of Poké Chat. Listen in as we recaps episodes 1×29 “The Punchy Pokémon” and 1×30 “Sparks Fly for Magnemite”. -A certain Team Rocket song can be heard throughout this episode… -We come up with our own names for the boxing dad and his daughter. -Are all Hitmonchan born with punching gloves on? -Primeape sure started to trust Ash very quickly. -Magnemite rule 34′s all over Pikachu. -Do Grimer and Muk only exist when there is sludge around? -The Nurse Joy in Gringy City is surprisingly unenthusiastic. -And thus starts the Muk/Oak relationship. -Poké fun includes a Hitmontop highlight, a fact about a shared Gen I Pokémon cry, Poké memories of Hitmonchan and Magnemite, and a revealing quiz of Jack’s accord. -News includes more X/Y news than you can shake a stick at, and a limited edition Eevee 3DS.
