In order to walk in freedom, we need to trade the enemy's lies for God's truth and learn to discern God's voice as He speaks to us.
We have been raised from death to life in Christ, meaning we have every right to take off our old, stink’n graveclothes and to put on the new, designed to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Not only are we forgiven and set free from our past, but we are now agents of kingdom life and power in this world. We have a part in God's plan as citizens of his kingdom!

The love of God bestows on us a new identity in Christ, one that comes from what He did rather than our own efforts. We are now adopted sons and daughters, strong and victorious, holy and precious, and carriers of His presence.

Jesus Christ came to give us freedom from the bondage of sin, the guilt and shame of our past, and damage to our soul so we can be all we were designed to be.

To the first disciples following after Jesus, Good Friday was anything but good. It was dark. Very dark. Their rabbi, their Messiah was crucified, and they found themselves at a loss about what to do next. Some doubted him. Others failed him. Some came to believe in him as they watched him die. One even betrayed him. We all find ourselves in their shoes at some point in our journey with Christ. Doubting him, failing him, maybe even betraying him with our words and actions. That Friday was a dark day. But Sunday was right around the corner.
